Usually there is only one compressor. Cold air is allowed into the refrigerator with either a vent door (damper) which is mechanically controlled by a numbered dial, or in fancier models, an electronic damper which opens and closes to regulate the temperature in the fridge.

The problem could be that the damper isn't working properly (usually the case, but not always) or that the thermostat or control board is not sending power to the damper motor.

SOURCE: fridge & freezer warm clicking noise is coming from compresser

It sounds very much like your defrost timer is gone. Pull the botom panel of the fridge off and you should see a circular unit with a screwdriver slot in it. Turn the slot CLOCKWISE only until you hear the fridge start up. If it does than you've gotten off cheaply. These defrost timers are inexpensive and, after unplugging the fridge, you can change it your self. It's as simple as changing a tire. With less bullwork of course.

Water is forming at the front of our fridge by the door.

Sounds like your drain outlet in the fridge is blocked. Empty the fridge compartment and remove any obstructions from the drain hole at the back. Another way is to pull out the fridge and look for the hose that drips into a tray, lift it out and either clean it and blow back up it, or use some form of compressed air. cover the hole inside with a wet cloth first to catch obstruction ( usually food particles).

I have a Baumatic American style fridge freezer. Problem is freezer door comes open when fridge door is shoot...

Re-level your unit and tilt it just a little toward the back. When you close the refrigerator door you in effect cause a compression affect which pushes the freezer door momentarily open. If it is leveled so that it is tilted toward the back the door would re-close under its own weight.

Side by side refig.freezer

SOUNDS LIKE ITS NOT DEFROSTING . CHECK TO SEE IF THERE IS ICE ON BACK PANEL OF FREEZER.
THE EVAPORATOR UNDER THAT PANEL IS A RADIATOR, FROST CLOGS RADIATOR , PREVENTING AIR CIRCULATION. THE RADIATOR ITSELF GETS COLDER THAN NORMAL MAKING THE LARGE LINE COMING OUT OF THE BACK COLD AS YOU DESCRIBED,BUT COLD CAN NOT BE TRANSFERED TO FRIDGE SIDE BECAUSE OF THE FROST.

ADVANCE TIMER FIRST UNTIL IT CLICKS.THIS SHOULD TURN COMPRESSOR OFF AND HEATER ON. IF TIMER IS ADVANCING PROPERLY , REFRIGERATOR WILL COME BACK ON WITHIN 30 MIN. IF NOT REPLACE DEFROST TIMER.

HOPE THIS HELPED
