Boot problems, erratic behaviour

I experienced many boot problems with that motherboard : when I push the ON button, sometimes it works fine, sometimes the fan does one or two turns, sometimes nothing, very erratic behaviour.
does anyone have experienced such a problem ?

Thanks in advance

Re: boot problems, erratic behaviour

Hi, check for the foll. issues..BIOS not configured or bad,(Check Lithum Battery),or bad ram module, check if the SMPS itself is bad, less likely that the MOBO is bad.

Thanks for asking FixYa for help. My name is Jeff and I will be assisting you today.

If you are using the same motherboard as the first one, what you are experiencing is too weird to worry over. Is it still under warranty? I'd say you have proved that the MB is deffective. Take it back for a refund or exchange.

If you are in need of additional help, please let us know.

If you use the integrated VGA try to update drivers from here
if this doesn't solve you're problem get a new VGA card for PCI Express,
and since the motherboard has an nvidia chipset you should get an nvidia grafic card.

Erratic behavior - system halts with blue screen with error codes

sounds like serious memory errors. download and boot to "memtest86" to terst your ram for errors, but it may also be the memory controller.

you can try also to swap slots between the memory sticks and see if it works better with the sticks swapped.

Bios problem

simple. get the board over to a friend. Be careful with this step now..

loosen the bios on the friend's motherboard so that it just touches the contacts and once it boots into a dos mode swap it with your bios and flash the correct one. remember to be very very careful about how you insert the bios chip.
it works as i have done it for my old k8v-vm ultra

Problems with intel D850GB motherboard

There's nothing obvious here, so you need to start with the basics.
Look in Control Panel/Admin Tools/System and Application to see if any errors suggest a fix.
Be sure the old (New) graphics driver was removed.
Clean out any dust.
Remove all components and replace them one at a time carefully making sure you get a good connection each time.
Power up the board as you replace each item to see if you can isolate the error.
