Question about Televison & Video
I have sansung 42'' HPR4252 Bottom part of the screen about half way down use to be black out for a few second then it was ok. but now I have a bunch of lines that I can not see any clear picture it is distorted picture. Tv repair guy said it need to change 2 boards on the back . is this make any sense ? if yes appro. any idea of the costof fixing it ?
Ask the repair man which boards needs replacing and what he thinks the problem ?
If its just the power supply board then just a few components (like capacitiors) needs replacing not the entire board.
The cost of 2 boards would be approx £175 maybe more just for the parts not including labour.
I recommend getting a second opinion if you feel this person may be ripping you off.
My TVs power board cost £89 to replace..luckily i discovered the problem with the board it needed new 6 capacitors (which had blown out) and got it repaired for £50 including parts and labour.
