Hi- sounds like the controller is not sensing the right temp or possibly the heater plate is bad. I'd get a Tech out to take a look. The controller is not cheap unfortunately. These units should not be taken apart unless you really know what your doing. I've had to repair a few that other untrained Techs have damaged... Good luck.
