With the SIM card came the initial pin and the PUK on a card. Perhaps you still have this card in the box, the phone came in. Or with the invoice?
When you can't find it, most of the time the provider can help you with the PUK, or even can send or give (in a store) you a new SIM and put your number on the new SIM. Then you again have an new PIN and PUK code. Please put the card with the PUK in a safe place.
they change simcard wrting codes every 6months or when new phones comes out. I had the same problem when i updated my phone,,,new phone have simcards that will only work with the new phone you buy, you will have to have them transfer everything over from your old simcard to your new phone. And they have programs that can do that, so if they say they cant, then possibly they are lying and dont wanna do it. I went to a aftermarket used cell phone store in Sacremento, and they did it for free.
You can use P2K phone commander, it can dump all the phone data even with no sim card inserted.
Here you can get the program and the drivers
Do not delete anything! Since this software is not official and you can access some system files with it, deleting stuff at random will lead to unpredictable results
this is not a problem... the point if that the old phone which you used stored the contacts in the sim card a sim card can store up to 100-200 contacts (dont know the exact number) So when you inserted the sim card into the New phone teh contacts got shifted to the new phone through the sim . They are stored in teh sim so you might be getting the message no contacts in the phone as there arent any!!!!!!!!! i do not know about the phone but the nokia 3600 could go to the sim and back by the direction keys why dont you try that out??? or reffer the book which came with it for the contacts but i am quite sure this is what has happened.. the blinking is because now you sim cannot hold anymore contacts it is full.... i will chech out the functionality of 5800 hundred and tell you about how to do it in some time
If your not really up for the work to go through for this. You can just have T-Mobile give you a new one for your phone. The SIM card transfer you would have done would have saved only your phone book.
If you are into looking to transfer the SIM card. Call your phone maker. In most Cases its Motorola for T-Mobile.
Call them, and tell them that your trying to transfer your SIM into a newer phone. Alas, They should tell you the code to unlock your phone
Hello.. I live in denmark and I just got the sidekick 2008.
I bought an Isim (ver. 2) on ebay. I payed $9.
Then I put It under my non tmobile sim card and powered it up and I could se my phonebook and other stuff from my sim. But it keept saying: emergency calls only.
Then you have to put it into a nother mobile phone to get signal. Then put it back in the SK with the Isim and then it works. Just remember to update the sim and phone with the settings from your current phone company by sms. Then it wont happen again.
It worked for me. so I hope it would help others...
If you can't find puk code your phone will not blocked. It will block just the sim. In this case contact customer care of your mobile operator company......... they will give you a new sim for the same number.
