Question about Minolta PagePro 1250W Laser Printer

1 Answer

The print screen comes in Spanish at times!

I've been using this printer for a while now, but recently without any clear reason, the screen (the one that pops up after you click "print") comes in Spanish. I tried uninstall & reinstall the driver, but the results remain the same. I am not a spanish speaker, and I don't know why this happened. Any ideas on why? Thanks in advance!

It's not the same brand or model, but I dealt with this before. Check out this link, maybe it will help you get on track:

Tip

49.*** error

If you notice an error 49.*** on the printer's screen, follow these steps to reset your printer and get you printing again. First, turn off the printer. Second, Go to the print queue on the computer (this assumes you have full access to the queue, admin rights). Clear the most current print job in the queue. Note: The print job may be one of two things: A pdf file or an attachment opened from inside your email program. If the print job was from an email, do the following - Save the documant locally to your hard drive, open it from that location and try to print again, but only after you have completed the rest of the steps below. Also, I've noticed that most of the time the computer's operating system is Windows 7 and above. Microsoft and HP have not provided any support to this problem as yet. Third, once the print job has cleared the queue (this can take a few minutes), go to the printer and turn it back on. If you have other jobs pending they may print once the printer has come up to the "Ready" screen and has completed it's handshake with the network or USB connection. That should at least get you printing again without having to place a service call! I hope this helps. Won't Print Color Ink

INK PROBLEM
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

Prints without a command

it might be because of two reasons,
one is , check ur printer buffer, it might be restarting some old prints..

but, the prob might be the second as explained below

u might have installed some software , which might be running in the backround, and in tat , if some button or key is being assigned to print screen, then, when ever ur pressing tat key by mistake, or unknownling, the problem is occuring, so check ur backround softwares...or even installed softwares..

Pls, let me know, i f it works...

Canon pixma mp780 printing problem

If deep cleansing via software doesn't work then you've got to manually clean your print head unit. Sometimes you'll have to bite the bullet and get a replacement print-head unit ($$). If you're at the stage that you're considering replacement, then you've got nothing to lose by cleaning the print-head unit yourself. It's simple. Remove all ink cartridges first then remove the print head itself. Place the print head unit in a saucepan of warm (NOT boiling hot) water and leave to soak for an hour. (Protect your clothes - it gets messy) After an hour, flush the printhead unit under a running tap. Don't run the water too fast or you may damage the unit) You should flush until the water runs clear. Do not attempt to clear the nozzles with anything other than water - they are very fine needle jets and you will damage them!! If needs be, return to saucepan and leave to soak in warm water again and repeat process. When you are satisfied that the printhead is clean, you need to dry the unit thoroughly. Shake as much water from it as you can then pat it gently dry. Next place it on some absorbant kitchen paper and put the unit in a warm place to thoroughly dry (Overnight in a warm airing cupboard would be good). Once dry, refit the unit put in (Preferably new - but I've used existing one's without problem) cartridges and run a cleaning cycle. Your printer should now work as if new!!! - In Most cases!! - sometimes though, you'll either have to replace the print head unit - which sometimes can be more expensive that simply replacing the printer. What have you got to lose though eh? CLIVUSS

Oki C5150 printer menu is part english part spanish. It comes up in english when you click print but all the other pages are in spanish(?)

How To:
Uninstall a Spanish or Portuguese driver and install the English version when Windows XP installs the incorrect language, where either a couple of the tabs are in the wrong language, or everything is incorrect.

Action:

IMPORTANT NOTE: THE PRINTER MUST BE TURNED OFF DURING THIS PROCEDURE OTHERWISE WINDOWS WILL AUTOMATICALLY INSTALL THE SPANISH OR PORTUGUESE DRIVER AGAIN. DO NOT USE PLUG 'N PLAY FOR DRIVER INSTALLATION.

1. Delete the Driver Icon from the Printers and Faxes Window.

IMPORTANT STEP:
2. Reboot the PC

3. Click on File --> Print Server Properties
0.2c6?openelement&fieldelemformat=gif

5. Click on the Drivers Tab.

6. Highlight the driver being deleted (C5200n shown as a reference below), and click on Remove.
0.347e?openelement&fieldelemformat=gif

IMPORTANT STEP:
7. Reboot the PC

8. Go back into the Server Properties Drivers Tab (as shown above), and click on the Add... button.

9. On the first screen click on Next.

10. On the Printer Driver Selection Screen, click on Have Disk.
4.7ce?openelement&fieldelemformat=gif

11. Browse to the location of the English driver that is to be installed and click on OK (Note, the C5200n printer is being used as a reference and the driver being installed is from the CD).
7.3852?openelement&fieldelemformat=gif

12. On the next screen the printer being installed should be highlighted, and click on Next.
9.628?openelement&fieldelemformat=gif

13. The next window Will show the version of the driver being installed, DO NOT click on any of the unchecked boxes and just click on Next.
12.6e6?openelement&fieldelemformat=gif

14. Click Finish on the last window.

15. Finally, turn on the printer. Windows XP will automatically find the printer and install the English version of the driver.

Zebra LP2844 on com1 long time before starts printing

you need to increase the baud rate of the serial port on the printer and pc, the default baud rate of the serial port is 9600kbp which is heaps slower then the LPT port which can rate atleast 100 times faster.

the reason why it is taking 45sec before printing is because the pc is sending a lot of graphics data to the printer, this can be cause by two main things

1) you could be printing a lot of logos or graphics .

or

2) you are printing using a nonhardware font so the driver has to convert all of the text into graphics. you can fix this by selecting a hardware font (has a printer logo next to it's name in word). also outputting EPL (the printers native command language) would be extreamly quick.

you could also download ZebraDesigner which includes drivers.

i would also recommend not updating the firmware as it can do more harm then good, and if you make a mistake you kill the printer and it voids the warranty

best of luck

RE:Cannot print in documents

It's one of two problems, either the nozzles in the cartridge are clogged or your printing preferences are set to "print in grayscale." To clear the nozzles try running the printer through a "deep cleaning" cycle from the printer's maintenance screen (available from the printer's properties). To check the printing preferences go to the printer's properties, as well, from Start > Control Panel > Printers & Faxes > right-click on the printer and choose Printing Preferences. Make sure to uncheck "Print In Grayscale."

Installing without the disk

Gabbyone, Here is the page to download drivers for your printer. Just click on the link for the appropriate operating system you need: http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:525:0:0&emeaframe=&target=http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi&target=http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi&&req=::::: As far as why is it printing purple it could be several reasons but some common ones are; you?ve run out of a particular ink color, one of your ink jets could be clogged or damaged, your cartridge was refilled wrong and on occasionally a software driver gets messed up. Reinstall your printer, do a test and if it still prints purple try running your printers nozzle cleaning utility. If that fails post another questions and give us some history, how long has it been since you?ve printed, are you using new Lexmark or refilled cartridges and any other pertinent information.
