Losing messages on iPhone can be extremely anxious for those who are often using iPhone to send or receive SMS messages. For some people who accidentally deleted their important text messages, I want to introduce how to recover text messages from their iPhone directly. All iPhone model including iPhone 5S/5, iPhone 4s/4, iPhone 3GS are supported.
Step 1 .Connect iPhone to computer
Launch the program and connect your iPhone to computer. Then it will begin to detect your iPhone automatically. The interface for iPhone 5S/5C/5/4S and iPhone 4/3GS will be a little different:
1) For iPhone 5S/5C/5/4S, users only need to click "Start Scan" button shown in the window below to start scanning your iPhone data:
2) For iPhone 4/3GS, you need to download a plug-in by clicking the "Download" button as follows:
Step 2. Preview and recover lost messages from iPhone
After scanning, it will display all found data and files in categories as below. You can then choose the SMS messages you want to recover and then restore them to computer by clicking "Recover" button.

Compatible basebands (BB) for ultrasn0w 1.2.2:
06.15.00 - iOS 3.2.2 from iPad (read further for details)
05.13.04 / 01.59.00 - iOS 4.0.2, 4.0.1 & 4.0
05.12.01 - iOS 3.1.3
05.11.07 - iOS 3.1 & 3.1.2
04.26.08 - iOS 3.0
Notice that BB 05.14.02 & 05.15.04 are NOT part of the list. You need to update these BB to 06.15.00 for ultrasn0w unlock to work. Read further for more info.
However, if your BB is 05.13.04 or lower, you can proceed with jailbreaking but make sure you DO NOT INSTALL THE IPAD BASEBAND.
WARNING: Read the following consequences of updating BB to 06.15.00:
There is no way to come back down from 06.15, & there's no hiding the baseband version from Apple. You'll be voiding your warranty in a very obvious way.
If some future baseband comes out with a critical fix, you won't be able to update to it if it remains down in the 05.xx sequence (then again, you wouldn't update to it if you wanted to keep your unlock anyway).
Starting with FW 4.2.1 if you have 06.15 on your iPhone you won't ever be able to restore to stock firmware (it will fail). You'll need to only restore to custom IPSWs (then again, if you're unlocker you should already be doing that).
NOTE: Download iPad's 3.2.2 IPSW ONLY if you'll use PwnageTool. Also, download ONLY the IPSW for your current iOS version. CLICK HERE if you have no idea what version is installed on your iDevice, especially if it's currently disabled.
For jailbreaking other iOS versions like 4.3.2, use other versions of redsn0w. CLICK HERE to see the list of all redsn0w versions.
PART 1 - JAILBREAKING with redsn0w (all iDevices):
Connect your iDevice to the computer, run redsn0w & click Browse
Locate IPSW for your current iOS, select it & click Open
Wait until it say IPSW successfully identified. Click Next
If you plan to unlock your iPhone 3G / 3GS old bootrom, you need to check Install iPad baseband to update BB to 06.15.00 Click Yes if you're OK with these consequences:Again, you only need this option if your BB is either 05.14.02 or 05.15.04. This will result to updating your BB to 06.15.00 which can be unlocked using ultrasn0w. Also, if your BB is 05.13.04 or lower, this jailbreak will still work for your iPhone but make sure you DO NOT INSTALL THE IPAD BB! You don't need it! For iPod touch users, the BB thing does not apply for you. so you have nothing to worry about.
Choose some more options before you click Next
Turn OFF your iDevice & prepare to put it to DFU mode then click Next
DFU mode: Press & hold the POWER button for 3 seconds
DFU mode: Press & hold HOME button while still holding on the POWER button for 10sec
DFU mode: Release the POWER button but keep holding on the HOME button for another 15 seconds or until you see Jailbreaking... on redsn0w
Wait until it tells you that The rest of the process takes place on your iDevice. Click Finish That will take around 8 to 9 minutes to complete
Once the jailbreak is done, open your iDevice & you'll find Cydia on the 2nd page of your homescreen. Watch this video: PART 2 - UNLOCKING with ultrasn0w (iPhone ONLY):
Open CydiaDon't worry if Cydia's icon is blank/all-white, it will still work. The first time you open Cydia, this is what you'll see (image below), then it will close itself and take you back to the homescreen
Open Cydia again. Before you proceed with the unlock, go to Changes first and do a Complete Upgrade
Tap Reboot Device after the upgrade
After reboot, you can then unlock. Open Cydia again (for the third time), and tap the following (in sequence):
Tap Install, then tap Confirm
And finally, tap Reboot Device
And you're all done! Your iPhone should catch signal after the reboot.

My 3gs has been doing the same thing for the past few days until it got to the point where it opened up settings and started hitting all the different sounds! lol First i was going to restore but the restore ended up failing due to some kind of unknown error. I then thought what about doing a "hard reboot" by holding the lock button and home button together until it shuts off, then release the lock button while still holding the home button for 10 seconds. That worked. I guess its like disconnecting the battery for a bit. Hope it works for all !!!
you will need to do a forced restore on iphone to resovle the iphone passcode lost problem. but when you do a forced restore on iphone, you will wipe all content from the iphone. To do a forced restore hold the HOME button, then connect to the USB cable and continue holding for a LONG time (a minute or more). Once iTunes responds release the button and your iphone will be restored.
or you can try to plug it into iTunes with it at the unlock screen. Somewhere it should say “Unlock your iPhone” or something like that in iTunes. Click it. Otherwise do a restore by going to the screen where it shows how much memory you have used up in iTunes and click “Restore”. Restore it as a new device (not from back up) in iTunes. After that, you can just sync your media and apps back onto it.
