SOURCE: Dysin vacuum blows air instead of sucking it!

If it is blowing air, then it is still clogged up somewhere, you didn't give your model number, but some of these have removable covers on each side and on the back. Also make sure that all covers are back on securely.

Dysons aren't supposed to clog up, but they do. There a number of ports you can open to see if there are clogs in any of them. Usually a clog is why it will blow air and debris out instead of sucking. You just need to find it.

My vacuum blows air instead of sucking air. I have a dirt devil swivel guide. I got something stuck in the brush spinner, got it out...but now the vacuum doesn’t **** stuff up anymore.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
Normally if your vacuum has a round belt you may have your belt on backwards, please reverse the belt and the suction will return also you may have a clog in the tube leading up to the bag or dirt cup would be anther reason for the blowing instead of suction. This is not covered under the factory warranty. Feel free to contact your local vacuum dealer for questions.
So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Seems to **** up the dirt/dust and simply blow it out instead of capturing it inside

Most of these have an suction hose and a blow port. One blows air, one sucks air. Make sure the suction hose is on the correct port. Also, a dirty air filter will cause the same effects. The filter must be good to prevent the dirt and dust being blow around.

It seems to blow air out instead of sucking up

Remove the bag on top and the plate on the bottom. Clean out the air passages, top and bottom, looking for a clog. When it seems clear, turn on the vacuum to see if air is moving through. Don't allow a full bag to remain in place Check the brush on the bottom for string, hair, or thread caught in the bristles or bearings on either end. Hope this helps!

How do i clean the filter

HI,
I found a copy of a manual that gives directions for changing or cleaning the filter. But before you go to the trouble of opening it and reading it try this. Have someone that has a air compressor just blow it off for you. Take the filter out and shake it good and then if you can get someone to use a air compressor on it then it will be almost like new. Good luck. I've included the manual link below in case you want it.

HELP!!!!!

The hose is probably clogged. It is supposed to blow out at the filter. It filters the exhaust air so you don't get dust back into the air.
