SOURCE: Where can I buy replacement lens caps for my nikon

Nikons Service center can order the parts for you. If they are not in stock takes about 6 to 8 weeks. I rang them and got the part number. They sent me an order form by email I filled it in, scanned it and I got my parts sent to me.
Nikon have service centers in many countries. Check their website. Failing that try binoculars.com or adorama camera in the US. They are good to deal with and ship internationally as well.

I also have 2 eyecaps that have broken or lost.

If you haven't contacted Minolta to purchase a replacement set you could try contacting Binoculars.com in the US. They ship international if need be. If Minolta can't help. Measure the circumference of the eyepiece and you could try a different brand of caps. Steiner Binoculars have a number of different caps and I have used their one piece cover on a number of older binoculars I have to protect the eyepiece when I am out and about. I'm in Australia and have used the above company for these parts and they are very helpful.

Nikon Optiphot stage is falling

This might be sign of trouble, because the Nylon gears inside might be worn out. I did not noticed a tension ring on Optiphot 1 or 2. The Nikon S and Metaphot from 1960s to 1976 have Nylon gears with tension ring adjustments.

Binocular double vision

you binoculars are probobly out of alignment. Having them realigned costs about $100. If the binoculars aren't expensive, you might want to try this yourself. Basically, one of the front lenses is off-center, and you can rotate it in its mount until the alignment is right. (I.e., it's off center in the right direction.) You will need an optical spanner (which Americans redundantly call a "spanner wrench") or an improvised substitute in order to do this.
