SOURCE: can't remove the nut holding blade on. Which way do I remove

Get some WD-40 and spray the area around the nut then let it sit for a few hours. This will get into the threads and loosen any rust that is compounding your problem. Now get a good wrench and look directly at the nut. Left is loose and Right is tight.

SOURCE: chain saw pruner blade will not turn

http://www.homelite.com/service_support Navigate to your pruner, order parts and you will find an exploded diagram of pruner. On mine , same problem, the Pinion assy @ $10 and the Gear assy @ $30 were both worn down to the point of non-engagement. They both have brass teeth. Special tools needed : correct torx bit and snap ring pliers. hope this helps.

SOURCE: Craftsman Miter Saw - can't remove the blade

It is left hand thread and if the lock won't hold what you can try is put a 2x4 on the table and pull the head down against the wood and with a good socket and ratchet loosen it that way.. remember to tighten to loosen

SOURCE: How do I remove the blade from a Makita MK470 tile

There is not a lock on this saw. If the blade is to tight to hold by hand you need to use an impact wrench. It will loosen the nut before the blade has time to start spinning.

The 8 angle anvil pruner sku #836-7013 has a design flaw. It is not a saw; it is not a chainsaw; it has Is there a pruner like this with a better design?

I think this is one of those cutter blade type of trimmers , I do know you have to keep blades razor sharp to cut anything with them , as they do tend to go dull easy (by design) , id go with a pole pruner chain saw if your looking to replace it , but beware as pruner chain blades and chain saws are not interchangeable due to fact that pruner's are made to cut on both sides of bar , chainsaws only cut on down stroke hence have a much more aggressive chain rake , don't put a chain for this on a pruner saw you'll be putting your self at risk of injury

Center bolt spins freely

There was probably a hole in the flange that you discarded that was used to put a pin/ nail/ bolt/ etc in from the body of the saw to hold that flange from turning while you did the nut up. Unless that hole is there you will have no way of holding the shaft to tighten the nut.

The ******** the Fiskars Power-Stroke pole pruner has become slack and won't open and shut the pruner blades. Would appreciate your help. Thanks.

Hi, you need to clean the blades and dry them and spray some WD-40 on any thing metal spring, blades, nuts, bolts. They get a build up of tree sap from cutting, regular cleaning and coating them with oil will prolong the life of any metal tools, also when you clean them make sure they are closing all the way without gaps. You may need to adjust the blades by adjusting the screws, take your time and adjust slowly so you turn in the right direction continually checking the gap.

My 1970's era Black & Decker model 7340 circular saw (7 1/4") works fine in every regard except that the blade is not parallel with the shoe. When I put a square on the shoe, the back of the blade...

I have the same saw and it had the same problem from the day I bought it, so I expect they were all made with this defect. The way I fixed it was to unscrew the wing-nut that is used to set the blade depth, then insert a shim washer under the bolt head (I used a piece of cardboard 1/16 inch thick), you may have to work a little to get the bolt out. Finally attach the wing-nut and tighten. The shim washer effectively shifts the motor and blade relative to the base. I found that saw blade not parallel to base was only a problem when using the saw base to follow a straight edge, was not a problem when cutting to a line by eye. Hope this helps.

Looking for help scouts have a carpentry merit badge from the 50s they talk about using a BEVEl and a Miter tools can you help

The bevel is an angle fiding tool. it consists of a wooden section about 4" long with a swivel bolt at one end connected to a slotted metal blade (similar to a 1 foot steel ruler). The bolt has a wing nut and bolt to allow loosenig to allow the blade to rotate and slide to the required angle where it is locked into position using the wing nut.
The mitre is a wooden block with slots cut into it at pre determined angles. ie 45 degrees. When cutting a mitre joint the wood is placed against the block and the saw follows the line of the slot cutting the 45 degree angle.
Hope this makes sense and good luck

Your Craftsman Tree Pruner is a 1993 model. Sears no longer sells the replacement blade. The pruner was made by Fiskars for Sears. Check out their replacement blade Fiskars # 9333.

Broken glass jug on kitchenaid blender model 5ksb2aer4

Look at the underside of the blade shaft. The metal wing nut on the end of the shaft secures the blade assembly to cream coloured plastic blade base. The wing nut also transmits the drive from the rubber coupling on your blender to the blade shaft. The wing nut has a LEFT HAND thread.
The left hand thread ensures the blade assembly does not unscrew during normal blender use.

Firstly disassemble the blender blade assembly. Place a folded tea towel over the blades and hold the blades firmly. If you do not use a tea towel you may cut yourself.

Grip the wing nut with your other hand and unscrew it CLOCKWISE.
Remove the wing nut. You can now remove the blade from the plastic base.

Put the blade assembly in the new jug and offer up the plastic base from under the jug so that the blade shaft protudes enough for you to install the wing nut.

Screw the wing nut ANTI-CLOCKWISE to secure the blades to the plastic base.

Do not over tighten the wing nut; you may have to replace your jug again at some point.
