SOURCE: when u are driving down the road u will lose all

Patty, you may need to check your fuses and make sure they all are properly pushed in. Does the car act different when it does this? I think you may have a loose wire somewhere in your wiring harness around the steering column. The only way to know for sure is by checking them.

We had a power surge from the campground electrical hookup. Now our usually quiet ac in the rv is running very noisy. What could cause this?

A power surge can trash the motor inside the compressor and the inside fan motor. Now comes the question will the repairs cost less than a whole new unit?

My ac comes on for a second or not at all. Changed thermastat but is still doing it. The fan works fine and so does the furnace

APPEARS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE=CHECK YOUR POWER-SINCE YOU HAVE 2 AC UNITS, I ASSUME 50 AMP SERVICE. FURNACE IF GAS POWER BUT ELECTRICAL FAN DOES NOT REQUIRE A LOT OF ELECTRICITY. CHECK ELECTRICAL FIRST. WHY DID YOU REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT?? ARE YOU SURE OF YOUR THERMOSTAT WIRING? WAS IT AN IDENTICAL REPLACEMENT UNIT?

test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions SATA

the leads from your (motherboard to your hard drive) make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty

even something as small as an electrical extension or a faulty fan lead can cause you problems computer needs all of the data and power to travel through every working device and to have an end for a computer to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd drives need to have current go through make sure these devices are working

check the CPU make sure it has thermal paste and dust free secure seating

also check your computer ram modules and cmos battery make sure they are dust free and securely seated some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

hope it helps

Yesterday I lost all electrical power while driving my 2004 Ford F450 RV. I continued rolling with the gas pedal pushed to the floor and without any power or control for approximately 10 seconds, suddenly...

this is one of those questions that we all dread and we would all be guessing...so here goes...the most likely cause is going to be a faulty ignition swtch, you can still turn the wheels but no power as the engine thinks you have switched it off.this would never show up on any diagnostic computer........but as i say its just a guess.....and without replacing the switch, you will never know.....seems expensive, replacing bits on a whim.

I have a durotherm air conditioner on my rv when i turn on the air conditioner the low voltage light comes on

Hi. I can help you. The voltage coming into your RV is determined by a few factors including the size of the power cord you use to bring power into your RV and the voltage available at the outlet. A voltage drop is common when there are lots of power draws occurring at the same time as is often the case in hot weather. You could ask your RV park manager to have the voltage checked as it can often be increased at the transformer on the nearby power pole.

That said for outside of your RV, lets go inside. If you are using a number of electrical appliances at once you may be causing the voltage drop. You can go to any home depot or similar store and purchase a voltage meter which will allow you to check and see what impact each item in your RV has on the voltage.

Try checking the inverter, if that is intermittent, it could short the system and cause the symptoms you are describing.

Unit shuts off automatically after power on.

You have an internal short in the electrical line. your wall a/c [120 volts] goes inside and is converted [changed] to DC [ like a super battery] There are a lot of connections coming out of this POWER SUPPLY[super battery] to FEED other electrical circuit. ANY one of the circuits can demand more then power supply can give and will cause it to SHUT DOWN [turn off to protect itself]
unless u know what u are doing [" DANGER!! wILL rOBINSON, DANGER!!] you should not mess with it.
