2009 60 Bigfoot efi 4 stroke. Trim works perfectly with motor off but struggles with running. Sounds like not getting enough power.

Hi Lynn henschell, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?

Does it struggles only with engine engaged in forward or also engine simply idles?

Dont have the manual in front of me...recollect that there's two types of warnings. The pulsating warning is oil (starts with 30 minutes of oil left) or the fuel filter (or sperator, something like that) may have water in it. Running outboard with cover off, is a little black box that would have a red light lit if that's the case. If oil full & no red light, may be oil injection system...would also check to make sure lines aren't pinched, etc. Mine has been specific to oil the two times its gone off.

The full non-pulsating is engine overheat. Not sure beyond that.

Not much, but hopefully gets you going.

SOURCE: Motor will not run even though battery fully

Are you sure your amature is good? If the amature wires are deformed; brushes out of synch, motor won't run.

I have a mariner Bigfoot 15 hp ser no OG 811362 it says on casing that it is 4 stroke but the guy I bought it from said it is 2 stroke how can I find this out with the use of she no

According to the ser #, your engine is 4 stroke. Does the engine have a dip stick to check oil level, a 2 stroke will not have this as it uses a fuel/oil mix. Also it will have an oil filter on 4 stroke. Hope this helps.

Engine runs rough under load

how old is the motor
4 stroke with valves or a two stroke ?

spark plug , coil , air fuel mix check valves
re check governor setting

if grass is way above the front height of the frame it will struggle
raise the height first to max on the first run
then lower
or use a grass trimmer to knock the level down before mowing

On my 50 Yamaha two stroke I have power to the trim motor from the green and blue wire but no movement. I have a clicking sound when I move up or down is the motor bud?

Sounds like faulty trim tilt relay.Connect blue green wires direct to battery ,if motor goes up or down then trim is ok but relay is faulty

Why do you get total loss of all electrics

Its possible, but if trim stopped first, then you lost everything else, I would doubt it's the fuse. Unless they're on separate circuits. First check your battery connections and voltage. Next check for power at your fuses. If they're good, check if you have a main power solenoid. If you do, its possible the coil has gotten weak or the contacts are worn. Hopefully this helps. Electrical issues can be a variety of things but are usually simple.

Cagiva super city 125 waz perfect now not reving after 6000rpm

Hi, Lallyg45 and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely drained or faulty battery.
2. Faulty regulator/rectifier or high output coil.
3. Faulty power valve, solenoid or installation.
4. Clogged air filter or exhaust.
5. Cracked or incorrect float level.
6. Float needle is not seating.
7. Faulty reed valve.
