Question about Computers & Internet

Screen flashes on for around 1-2 seconds before turning off

LG Flatron L226WTQ-PF. I plug my monitor into several different sources with the same outcome. The screen flashes on for around 1-2 seconds, before turning off again. If I press the source button, it comes on again for 1-2 seconds before disappearring again. I have tried my Laptop HDMI port, The same laptop analog connection, Desktop PC DVI-D connection, & DVD Player HDMI port. I have an identical monitor which works fine. Any ideas before I assign it to the bin. £185 and only 13 months old. :-(
Thanks in advance.

Problem solved, one of the four light tubes had broken, thus causing the system to shut down. Once replaced, works perfectly.

Monitor sleep problem

Hello,

This type of problem is usually caused by a failure of the filter capacitors on the power supply board. The LG L204ws uses the AIP-0156 power supply which is the same board used in many of the LG monitors that were sold around the same time. Here is a link to a repair guide for the LG L226wtq model that used that board. The repair guide as pictures and videos showing how to open the unit and check the filter caps. There are parts lists showing what needs to be replaced too.

Hello my flatron l206wtq-bf doesnt work the light of power flash blue and the monitor doesnt open do you have a solution for me thanks

Hello,

Your unit has a power supply that has failed. When the power board starts failing you may get a wavy display, it may be slow to show a picture or you may just get the flashing power button light that you have. The problems are caused by parts called capacitors that have bulged and failed. Here is a link to a repair guide for the LG L226 that uses the same power supply board as your unit.

The dis-assembly information is almost the same to.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

I have an LG Flatron L226WTQ-SF and my monitor has some "shadowing". If you need more infos I can send you some pictures.

If you are using analog VGA cable, replace it with one that has ferrite rings near both ends. The best is to use DVI digital cable but this depends on the capabilities of the videocard and the monitor ofcource, but I think this monitor has DVI input.

Lg Flatron L226wTQ, power button failing

Hello,

This problem is usually caused by a failure in the power supply board which in turn is caused by a failure of the filter capacitors. We have a repair guide article posted on our web site at: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/lg-l226wtq-bf-monitor-repair/ Check out the article and then open your monitor up and look for the failed capacitors, replace them if found and you should be back going again.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

My screen on my Lg Flatron L226wTQ=bf went white. I tried rebooting it a few times and have also tried uplugging it. I have plugged in my old monitor for now which is working very well. Can you help me?...

Its either going to be the lcd or the inverter is bad. Keep in mind that the cost to repair the monitor is going to be more then its worth. Also make sure that your pins on the vga cable are nice and straight, bent pins can also cause this type of problem as well.
