Common with this model you need to remove the ball, and fit a lager screw into the black lever that locks the wheels in the upright postion. or you can take it to your local vac repair shop for him to do it. we charge 29 for the bleach wash service. you dont need any parts and he will fit the new bigger screw into place when hes servicing it

FIRSTLY, REMOVE SOLEPALTE BY QUARTER TURNING THE 3 COLOURED STUDS,THEN CHECK TO SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING OBSTRUCTING THE BRUSH BAR OR IF THE BELT IS WORN OR SNAPPED. IF ALL SEEMS WELL PUT THE SOLEPLATE BACK ON AND ENSURE CLUTCH IS ENGAGED TO AUTO AND TRY IT AGAIN. IF NO JOY THEN PLEASE COME BACK TO ME.

My Dyson DC14 had no suction...see if this works...turn the Dyson upside down...there is a length of hose that connects the bottom of the vacuum to the top, careful remove one end of the hose and check for debris...mine was clogged. Removed the clog and voila...it works. Thanks for the above info on checking the hose for cracks.

Same problem here. We noticed a loss of suction for about 5 minutes and the suction stopped. Beater bar still rotates but ZERO suction.

Hi its Darran at Dyson.
Simply switch the machine off and stand it upright. Press the brush bar on/off switch once and then turn the machine back on.
When you release the machine into the vacuuming position, the brush bar should start to turn again.
