Model 7000 slide not working

I have a Defiant 7000 flashlight and took a look. When the light is closed, the top of the battery door (1) is right at the lip (2) that keeps the light from over extending. I couldn't get mine to close with the cover loose, but if you did you could carefully drill a hole (3) in the outer casing to see and push the battery door back into place. You could also remove the two philips screws under the rotating magnets on the base and maybe push hard enough to force the top out?

Dark, cloudy viewing 35-135mm Sigma lens

The problem sounds like the camera did not reset properly after the last exposure. Minolta deigned the camera to keep the aperture fully open except during exposure.
During exposure it snaps the aperture down to the selected opening, then opens it again to allow enough light for proper focusing. If it did not fully open the blades after the shot, much less light would pass through the lens. The viewfinder would be darker and look murky.
Most likely cause? Dried up lubricants in the camera.
Next likely cause? Teeth broken on a plastic gear.
Get it to a camera repair place. Get estimates first.

Where can i buy a battery holder for a minolta maxxum 7000.

try a camera repair shop for a good used one, no new parts are available. or try ebay. you may have to buy a complete 7000, then keep it for parts.

I would not do it. I own my own computer business and this is what I do for a living and if I were you I would not do it. Why are you wanting to do this in the first place?

My Minolta 7000 camera's rewind switch won't budge.

I have seen this on several of these, a small bit of plastic breaks off on the top cover and jams the rewind switch assembly.

To repair this you would have to take the top cover off and then remove the rewind swtich assembly from the top cover remove the bit of plastic and hey presto. You will find after removing the bit of plastic you will have to hold the lever to keep the camera rewinding, the lever will no longer stay in place as it used to (the bit of plastic held it in place)

Post back re Palmyman if you want to attempt this
