hi,
just watch the following video . In the end of the video there is a method for how to charge the capacitor using a bulb. instead of fuse you can use a bulb to charge the capacitor. after charging completed insert the fuse.
ok

How do i charge it

To charge a capacitor:
connect it to a power source that has less voltage than the capacitor's tolerance.
Wait for it to be balanced with the power source's voltage.
The source must be DC.

How to install a zx-hypercap in to my car

Hello youngbossrio,

Like other car audio capacitors, the Volfenhag zx-hypercap has two terminals, a positive and a negative. The negative terminal is connected to the metallic frame of the vehicle (ground). The positive terminal is connected "in-line" with the amp 12V positive terminal.

The capacitor should be as close as possible to the amp. Within a couple of feet is acceptable.

The capacitor needs to be "charged" before connecting it directly to 12V positive. This is done with a 1000 ohm resistor and a voltmeter. The exact value of the resistor is not critical but it should be in the 500-1000 ohm range. Use at least a 1 watt resistor (your capacitor may have come with a resistor for charging).

Hope this helps.

Boss 3.5s capacitor?

something in the order of 120 ohms. If you use a 1/4 watt size it will get extremely hot.

Power capacitor

From the Legacy Manual:

The supplied charging bulb(included
in the package)is used when initially
charging the Cap. the charging process
is accomplished by connecting the
charging bulb in series between the
battery’s positive post and the
capacitor’s positive terminal.(plese
refer to the diagrambelow). it is very
important to follow this process to
eliminate the possibility of damaging
the cap/battery, and other audio
devices. The charging process is
complete when the voltage of the
capacitor reaches the same voltage
as your vehicle’s battery. This process
will take a matter of seconds to
complete. You can use a voltage meter
to check the voltage across your
battery and cup .when the voltages
are the same on both(cap and battery),
the cap has been fully charged. The
charging bulb actually eliminates the
need for the volt meter, when the cap
is fully charged (cap and battery have
same voltage) the bulb will go either
dim or fully out.

I enhance volume car light shimmer and amp off.

Need more info. Are you sying that your lights pulse to the bass? Capacitors help. I would recomend at LEAST a 2 farad. Make sure you are using GOOD QUALITY 4 gauge power wire. So many "kits" say 4 gauge, but strip it back and you have a glorified 8 guage wire. I've seenit. Also, MAKE SURE that it is ran to the bayttery and use the SAME gauge for the ground (no more that 4 feet if possible).

In case your next question is "how do I hook up a Cap?", here it goes:

Power AND ground to the cap, then power AND ground from cap to the amp input. So very easy!!

Take care,

Rockford capacitor question

I think the "chip" is actually a resistor for DISCHARGING the capacitor. If its hooked up right it should charge and the light should go out.

I dont think the "chip" is supposed to hooked to it when it is in use, but check the instructions..

Make sure the wires are right, and try it without the extra device attached to it.
