Ours did the same thing and we returned it for an exact same model. Happy to report that the second one works just fine. Don't waste any more time on this defective one!

SOURCE: fridge cools short time and stops

sounds like the condensor fan isnt running. I would replace the fan if thats the case. If the fan is running then you have a overload problem or a bad compressor

SOURCE: After moving my fridge how long should I wait

Hi,
Give your fridge at least 6-8 hours for the oil to run back into the compressor before turning it back on...
If in doubt longer is better...better to wait a few hours then wish that you had...

I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!

Thanks for using Fixya!!

Brand new mini fridge was on it's side before being set up. Plugged in too soon. Now it won't start cooling. Are we out of luck?

It could be that liquid coolant got into the low-pressure part of the cooling system when it was on its side, and is preventing the expansion valve from doing its job converting high-pressure liquid coolant to gas. My recommendation is to unplug it, wait the 24 hours, and plug it back in. Excess fluid should have drained to the bottom of the cooling system by then, and normal cooling can begin.

My brand new Emerson 286 mini fridge just stopped working after almost 2 months.

Sounds like there is some warranty left on this unit.
Try unplugging it for some time; return power to it and see what happeng.
Another teat: Join the two wires at the thermostat t see if the fridge starts. If it starts, then the thermostat is bad.

Our fridge keeps shorting out power supply each time its plug into wall?

It may not be expensive. Lets look at a couple of things. You may ave a wire that is shorting out against the body of the fridge. If it shorts out as soon as you plug it in, that will tell you it is a dead short which is a wire probably touching something else. If it is delayed a short period of time, this usually indicates the compressor or fan is seized up and after a brief time it shuts off to prvent a fire. If it is over 12-13 years old, you may want to consider replacing it. It may be worth it otherwise to repair it. This is a pretty nice frig and may be cost effective to repair.

Our brand new keurig mini plus wont heat or dispense water

I had the same problem with my Mini ! I also had this problem with my last Mini which was given to me and I tossed out. So I replaced with the new one which just went on the fritz. Called Keurig who were very helpful and told me to descale, but I explained the machine is almost new. So I prodded them for what else could cause the problem and its water that is too cold.

Turns out the problem is that I was using very cold water and the machine can sense the water is cold and will not heat. It does not heat so it wont damage the heating element. I was using 40 degree water from the fridge.

My symptoms were: I would fill it, that the blue light would flash, I would push the button, then the red light would flash and then nothing it would shut off after a while. Now with not so freezing water it works fine!

Hope this helps as I threw out a good machine because the water was too cold!

I have a side by side fridge model is GSS201BTA

There are 2 ways I would handle this so you decide.
First open the freezer door and push in the door switch on the left hand wall. Wait a few seconds and see if the fan starts blowing. If not wait abbout 30 minutes and try again and if it still wont blow you will need to replace the fan motor. If the fan does start blowing either time look at the lower back wall and see if it is coated in a layer of frost. If so you have a defrost issue and will probably need a heating element or a new control board.
Your other option, call GE and tell them they sold you a lemon. Explain to them that you had service shortly after buying the unit for the same reason your calling them now, and you should have had them replace the unit while it was still in warranty with the first problem. You paid good money for the refrigerator and its not right that they treat this any other way then to cover any repair costs for you. And usually they will considering the first problem you had 2 weeks after purchasing it. Hope this helps.

Refridge compartment warm not cooling

I hope the following helps.

Turn the entire control system off for at least two minutes. This will give the computer module time to reset to factory default. Turn of to desired level after two minutes. Should that not work then there is a problem with the timing relay. They relay is brand specific, meaning take the model number to the parts store for a new one.

Your compressor should be fine. You may also remove the power by unplugging the refrig.

CAUTION: Before removing the relay the power to the fridge must be OFF. Failure to have it in the off postion can cause the new relay to short which can lead to mkore problems. So UNPLUG the fridge, remove the relay, replace the relay and then plug fridge back min. Set control to desired cooling level and wait a couple hours. That should do the trick.. IF not then there is an issue with the processor module.
