SOURCE: Recovery code 102

you may want to try formating the disk. this may also mean that you have a problem with your hard drive. remember that formating the disk will erase everthing that you have on your archo. if that doesnt work, then you can take it to the place where you got it from and they will fix it for you.

good luck!

You're creating a conflict. If you're using wi-fi, don't plug it in. If you're using hard wire, don't use wi-fi.

My nobis tablet is stuck on the nobis start up screen. How do I fix it.

If you Google NobisNB09 stuck on GO you will find many angry people who have the same problem. Rarely does the factory reset procedure work to fix it. IMO they have a problem with faulty internal SD chips. So, what I'm saying is you may not be able to fix the problem other than trying to get an RMA and sending it back for repair if it's still in the warranty period.

Here is the factory reset procedure.

1) press and hold at the same time both the power button and the volume(-) button.

2) keep holding them until you see the Nobis screen, Then it will go off. Keep on holding both buttons down for perhaps ten or fifteen more seconds and finally you will see a screen with some green text options

3) Among the options is one that says something like "wipe data/factory reset.

4) Using the volume (+) button scroll to it and then press the power button once to select it.

5) Another screen will come up with text options of no, no no for five or six lines with one that has a go ahead for the reset option. Again, using the volume (+) to scroll to the reset option and select it using one push of the power button.

6) you will get a reboot option.

7) reboot by pushing the power button, it will turn off.

8) Give it a minute or so and then push the start button and
hold it until you see the Nobis screen. Let it go and wait. If the hardware's OK it will go through the initialization routine which
should take several minutes. Anything more than about ten
minutes without going to the set up screen indicates you have
bad hardware such as a faulty internal SD memory.

One hint: turn off your wi-fi router so it can't connect to wi-fi.
It will boot up with the wi-fi ON and it will connect to any open
router it can find and commence to download updates for all the apps. This makes it take forever and can completely fill
up the available app partition memory and result in another failure to boot up next time.

IMO the Nobis NBOP is a POS! I have one so I know.

Hello, I own a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ230e laptop and it won't boot up. It froze this morning and I had to initiate a hard reboot. Since then I have been given the option to boot up in Safe mode or Normal...

First of all, get your WinXP CD handy, then go to Start>Run and type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes. That'll replace any missing or corrupt system files.

My laptop that has window xp just keep on rebooting and it just stuck on safe mode and dosnt want to go anywhere but reboot every time

It sounds like you have automatically reboot on error turned on which is Windows defualt. (dumb idea Microsoft). When you get the black and white screen that gives you several options to start your computer, one will be to turn off automatic restart.

Your computer will boot and you will get an blue error screen. That error will help you determine what is broken.

An alternative is to try last known good configuration, but I've never had much luck with that option.

This morning i got a update for windows.. well!! i updated it and then a error screen came on.. i tried to reboot the note book but its stuck in windows boot manager screen.. my lap top wont shut down.....

Boot into safe mode then go to system restore and restore it to before the update or go to control panel and uninstall the update.

To boot into safe mode:
Right after bios loads up and before windows starts loading start hitting the F8 key
Choose safe mode with or without networking doesn't matter

Computer boots up then shows windows 98 scrren

you may face either harddisk failure, a driver problem or virus infection:

tools: original win98-cd (or a bootable image

version of it), antivir-software on cd!

- please check whether it is possible to boot from win98-cd, with cd-rom support, not from harddisk.

(such option should be availabe after bios-load is over)

if not:

leave the setup process without fully installing
(press F3 button when asked for repair or install option)

in both cases :

type at the dos-prompt:

c:\win98/win

(command for changing to harddisk, windows-folder, booting windows from harddisk, but without loading all the drivers as usually)

win98 should come up in protected mode or give error messages.

- access cd-drive and execute vir-scan.
- delete and/or repair infected files
- turn down, attempt to reboot from hd
- if still impossible reboot from win98-cd,
run repair of installation and try once again
standard boot

problem solved? if not, take down error messages consult fixya again!

Won't boot up, windows won't start successfully

In fact, your computer is restarting by itself after a problem. On Windows 98/2000 the blue screen was sitting there until you rebooted the computer. Windows Xp reboot the computer sometimes even without showing any error message. The thing is, if it reboots even if you select Safe mode, something may be wrong in your hardware (i.e. your memory or hard drive). I would bet on a memory failure but it's hard to be sure unless you boot your computer with a memtest CD, you can find it for free the internet and select your CD as booting device when the computer starts. If you cant do that yourself, you can bring it to a local computer store or anyone with good computer repairing skills. If you need more help with this, let me know
