HELLO MIEMIEGO,I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH A HAMILTON BEACH THAT I JUST BOUGHT. I DIDN'T WAIT THAT LONG FOR IT TO WARM TOUGH,I JUST WAITED 10 MIN,NOTHING HAPPENED. I JUST PACKED IT AND TOOK IT BACK TO K MART,AND EXCHANGED IT FOR A 24 CUP BLACK AND DECKER,THAT'S A BEAUTY. IT'S NICE LOOKING AND NO PROBLEMS SO FAR. I HAVE FOR A MONTH NOW AND I'M VERY GLAD FOR THIS PURCHASE ! BYE LETI50

I would try looking for one in good will store or similar. Otherwise probably less hassle to buy a nice new cooker...I don't know about the US/Europe but here in Asia they are cheap as chips...lol
Oh ....stay away from electronic controlled units they are born to break methinks...
