Hey Robyn,.. not sure which O/S you are using... go to Control Panel, click on Hardware and Sound, click on Power Options, click/select on High Performance... click next...you will now have the option to set when to : dim the display, when to turn off the display, and WHEN to put the computer to sleep.. ---- I set mine to NEVER!.... save and close

New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: This monitor keeps going into sleep mode when I am

Try it on another PC, but more likely to be the problem in the power supply. Please post back when you try it on another PC.

How do i stop my monitor from going into sleep mode

A couple of possibilities here. Try using a different cable first to rule out the cable being the problem.

If that doesnt work, try using a different monitor if available.
If that fixed the problem then its your monitor.
If it didnt, then its your computer.

let me know what you find.

Came home to find computer off. It was left in sleep mode. The moniter keeps saying there is no signal and the keyboard has no power.

If its truely in sleep mode, and won't come out of sleep mode. Unplug the computer from its power, hold the power button down for 5-15 sec, then wait 2-5 full minutes. Then plug it back in, and turn it on.
If that doesn't work it is NOT stuck in sleep mode. Most dell computers I've worked with the caps go out in the power supply and/or the motherboard. I would next clean out the computer with canned air, check the caps on the motherboard, and in the power supply. If there are any bad caps, replace them, and it should fix it. Hopefully though the above paragraph fixes your problem.

Sole treadmill won't go in to sleep mode

You need to go into the maintenance menu.

Take out the red safety stop key, hold down the "start", "stop" and "Enter" buttons, keep holding them down while putting the red key back in (a bit tricky), keep holding the keys down until you see "Maintenance menu" scrolling (this will happen as long as you didn't let go of the three keys).

Initially when you put the red key in it'll might show software version etc, after a few seconds it'll change to maintenance menu. Use the speed UP and Down buttons on the console or arm to scroll through menu until you reach "FUNCTIONS" press enter.

In the functions sub-menu, depending on what year model/software version it has, it should have a selection called "Sleep Timer" if so set it using up down keys to "ON". If your model doesn't have "sleep timer" listed (i.e. a newer model) it's now just called "DISPLAY" and in that case set it to "OFF". That should fix it.

Press Stop, to go back. If you want you can disable the key tone/training beeping as well in the "functions" sub-menu of the "maintenance menu".

To exit press stop repeatedly until you're back to the normal display.

My computer hp s3700f keeps going black or sleep. Mode

Hello

You can prevent the computer from going into sleep or hibernation mode by going to the CONTROL PANEL - POWER SETTINGS.

Once here, change the settings to High Performance.

You can also go into advanced properties and manually change all of the settings - including when the hard drives go to sleep (I set this to NEVER), when the monitor will go to sleep (again, I set to never).

Check the power setting in control panel of windows. If you have a monitor from another computer swap them and see if the problem stays with the computer or monitor.

Laptop apprears to go into sleep mode while I'm using it

To my knowledge it could be hibernate mode for laptops to save battery life when not plugged into the wall, try pressing the power button, my Compaq did that too. Also don't hold down the power button as after 5 seconds it just shuts off the laptop, unless you wanna do that.
