One thing you have to be aware of is some 20×20 filters are 19.5 ×19.5. This is due to the difference between residential and commercial grills. Some 20×20s are in fact 20×20. Measure with a tape measure and make sure your filter size IS THE ACTUAL FILTER DIMENSION!! Good Luck!

SOURCE: air conditioner replacement--new size required?

567C024RCU In this model number is the # 24. That stands for 24,000 btu's. This is a two (2) ton unit. Has this two ton unit cooled ok in the past? if so replace with the same size. But make sure yo change the indoor coil to match the size "and" efficiancy of the ew unit.

SOURCE: changed from standard air box air cleaner to pod

Going to the manufactures specs or anybody's specs for that matter won't help you, you have interrupted the air flow, Get an adj jet from Dyna flow, I did the same thing, went back to the oem specs and still wouldn't run. Got a Dyna flow kit and off it went. Those things are expensive but worth it. Plus they are adj. And you get a free dyno check if you ever find somebody with a dyno tester. My Mikunis were a little newer, but I'm sure they got something. I found mine on Ebay. Hope this helps.

I have carrier heat and air model numbers 58sx and 38tg what sizes are these

You need more information to get the size. The Carrier 58sx series includes 5 different models: 40 - 41000 BTUH, 60 - 61000 BTUH, 80 - 81000BTUH, 100 - 102000 BTUH, 120 - 122000BTUH. An installation guide for the 58sx is available here: http://www.xpedio.carrier.com/idc/groups/public/documents/techlit/58sx-14si.pdf . The Carrier 38tg has 6 different sizes (020 - 20,000BTUH through 050 - 50,000BTUH). The other sizes are 025, 030, 035, 040 and the capacity is that number multiplied by 1000.)

To determine your model's capacity, look at the full product number. The first three numbers after the 58sx or 38tg will indicate the nominal capacity.

I hope this helps.

Need the tons for my unit. its really old and i cant read it on the side i have the model number it is 50ym042310 and it is a 230 volt unit. i know its a carrier because i amable to still see the brand...

The number you are referring to as your 'model number' is a number I don't recognize; maybe it's the SN or something - I don't know.
But that other number - "38CKC042" -------'is' --- your model number and the size of your AC is 42,000 Btu or 3.5 tons.

I need an instruction manual

If you have a good model number for the unit in question you should be able to contact carrier themselves or google the manufacture and download it if they offer it but more than likely you will have to contact the manufacture for assistance. The number is 1-800-CARRIER
