SOURCE: My Smeg dishwasher DWF 64 SSE won't go onto rinse or dry

Easy one first try this to see if it helps

Water pre-heating
Your dishwasher may pre-heat the water. If so, and if the water entering the dishwasher is cool, the heater may take up to half an hour to heat the water.

To avoid the wait, increase the incoming water temperature before turning on the dishwasher. Do that by running the kitchen sink faucet until the water runs hot. Or increase the temperature of the hot water to the entire house at the hot water heater.

Warning! To lessen the risk of scalding, don't set the hot water heater temperature higher than 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

SOURCE: dishwasher wont go through the cycles

Hi. this will occur when the timer control or control board has experienced a major fault within the circuitry. in most cases, the actual timer mechanism will fail. this will stop the forward advancement of the wash cycle.

Total replacement of the timer control module or control board will fix this issue.

Why does dishwasher rinse light keeps flashing and sounds like its draining. ?cant put another programme on

the flashing rinse light is a error code but i need a model number to know exactly what it means, constant draining with an error normally indicates an issue with water either its filling up to much and leaking into the base or it has a leak from somewhere in the dishwasher i.e. a hole in hose or a leaking seal, constant draining is a default response to a leak for all dishwashers often continuing draining even when the door is opened

Dishwasher not drying the dishes using the fan when the programme finishes

It is likely the rinse aid is low or empty. Check the rinse aid dispenser to see level of rinse aid. Also make sure when you open the dishwasher at end of dry cycle that it is hot inside. Otherwise most likely there is not enough steam as the heater may not be working to capacity or the thermostat is not regulating the water temperature to generate steam for drying.

Dishwasher is not drying properly. How do I adjust the thermostat?

Drying temperature controlled by programme. Check that water is entering and laps the bottom of the salt container on the LH side of base. Also reset the programme if electronic.

Water remains at the bottom of the dishwasher

some dishwashers have water left after the final rinse. it is important to keep the motor seals wet between loads. My filter is always immersed. If we go away for two weeks, I put 2 litres of water into the tub and let it soak 24 hr so that I never start it with dry seals.

I have a c1 error on an AEG oko favorite 50700 What dies this error mean

I don't understand why replies talk about the C2 and C3 errors... The problem is C1! I have the C1 error. I start a programme, it does the draining cycle to check empty then starts filling. MI can hear water entering but it sounds slow at a low flow rate. If I leave it going, eventually the programme stops and the error is displayed: C1 Opening and closing the door allows the programme to continue. I get the error after the various stages of the programme, when it is filling for the next wash or rinse. So it's 4 or 5 times I think during the programme. Now, if I help the filling... When the appliance is filling, I open the door, and poor in a kettle or two of water, then the error does not happen (the fill is within the time expected by the appliance?) So I am thinking one of two things is wrong: 1) I have a flow rate problem BEFORE the water connection to the appliance. E.g. It is blocked somehow. 2) There is something which opens/closes the "tap" within the machine which is causing the flow rate to be low and it does not fill quickly due to that. No idea which of these two, but I did disconnect the hose of the supply and check that water flows quickly from it into a bucket, so I am thinking there is something inside the machine which "opens the tap" and it's not doing a good job of it. Anyone got a clue?

HELP WITH NON FUNCTIONING DISHWASHER

similar problems here, repair man says its fine but the salt light was on so i added salt and works ok now. Some dishwashers don't function properly without the salt and rinse aid, even though you're pills may have then included, you still have to add them seperately, dumb but necessary at times.

Dishes are wet and the not drying

Try using just the rinse aid in the tablets, don't put anymore rinse aid in the dispenser(This may take a while for it to empty) this should help with the drying.
failing that look at manual that will tell you how to put the extra heat programme on
