SOURCE: My TV has power on the main board but won't turn on. When I plug it in the speaker pops but then nothing happens after that. Nothing looks bad on it. It's a 50" hisense model # 50K23DG

Fault to its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

SOURCE: hi, I have Hisense 50K23DG. It has no sound, no picture and 5 and half or as 6 red blinkings. Do you know any error code for this Hisense?

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

SOURCE: I have a hisense 50" LCD TV model 50k23dg. I have sound but no pic. Did a flashlight test and could see pic. Would replacing tcon board fix the issue?

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis...

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

SOURCE: I have a Hisense 55" model #50K23DG . The screen went out but the sound is perfectly clear. You can only see the image when you put a flashlight up against the screen. What could be the problem?

i assume this is an lcd, not led tv. the flourescent backlighting's inverter unit has gone out. its usually a seperate ic card, so it is repairable, if you can source the part cheap

Any more than 5 blinks are problems on the main board. It indicates a failure during P.O.S.T. (power on self test) This problem is a "fatal error" and cannot be reset, the board is indicating a fault on the board itself.

My Hisense 50k23dg Led TV has been flickering right side for a few weeks today picture is almost black and fades in and out and smells like something burned up. I am curious what I need to repair it?

Back light problem. Check and replace the damaged components at its back light inverter circuit. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Visit the site linked here to know more details. With some models the back light inverter circuit will be an integral part at its power supply circuit. If so the power supply regulator board might need replacement.
