SOURCE: 1996 force outboard motor

Hello vickurzawski, You have a bad bendix. This is mounted on the starter to engage the starter to the flywheel. Check with a local marine shop or auto parts store for a new or used one. Disconnect the battery, remove the starter from the engine, replace the bendix on the starter. Connect a jumper cable to the starter to test operation before bolting back to engine. Make notes on what wires went where before disconnecting.

SOURCE: 1994 40 hp mercury force outboard with no spark

If the fuel was not treated with a fuel stabilizer than you probably have a varnish build up in the carburetor. This varnish will clog fuel needle valves and jets. You need to disassemble the carb to clean the jets and needle valves. Sometimes cleaner is not enough you need to us compressed air to blow out the jets. Good luck.

sounds like the cable has broke inside the tube or it popped out of place. loosen the bolt on the motor casing holding the tube and separate the two pieces and pull the cable out. Should be a square at each end of cable.. if not post again

SOURCE: Motor works but no drive to shaft.

My 15 year old Dremel 395 had the same problem so I took it apart. There is a plastic spline between the motor and the output shaft to the chuck . My plastic spline was split and had many of its teeth sheared off. The shaft lock acts on the output shaft side of this spline, so it was ok. Otherwise everything looked great; bearings ran free & had little play free, brushes ok. To be fair, my Dremel had seen hard use & doesn't owe me anything. No luck so far finding replacement spline parts, which if available should be easy to install. To take apart your tool, just google "Dremel Disassembly". GOOD LUCK!

How do I remove the steering column under dash on a 2004 Hyundai xg350?

We have a lot of these at our yard there should be a trim panel underneath the column near wear your knees would be it's either a philips or a 10 mm screw take that off disconnect the harness from the column there should be 2 to 4 bolts either 12 or 14 mm to hold the column up and follow the steering shaft down towards the floor were your pedals are there's a rag joint I believe a 12 mm bolt holding the shaft from the column to that ragjoint which bolts to your rack and pinion follow what I said and you can have it out in no time

REPLACE THE PUMP AND BOAT WANT GO IN GEAR

Hi,

the gear shift shaft/rod pushes down on a metal wedge inside the gear box this forces a dog clutch to engage a gear and transfer the engine drive to the prop shaft along the prop. A return spring keeps the dog clutch against the wedge so that when the shift shaft/rod is lifted the dog clutch disengages (neutral) if you keep lifting another gear is engaged, astern. Missing one of the gears, adjustment. No gears, shaft/rod alignment. Is yours direct mechanically hard linked or does a cable transfer the movement to the shaft? Check the top shift connections first, before taking the leg apart again.
Hope the above, windy reply is useful.

How can i remove the spinner drum from a defy twinmaid 920 (twin tub)? please help?

1)You have to tip the machine on it's back and remove all the screws from the bottom grey cover.
2)There are 4 screws securing the drain plug at the back. Remove these as well. Gently pry off the bottom of the machine.
3)The spin motor sits on four spring mounts. Undo the 4 screws from the top of the mounting plate. The motor shaft is not screwed to the drum. Slide the motor out of the drum shaft.
4) Once free, there are 2 X 10 mm bolts that lock in 2 grub screws on the shaft. Loosen these an remove the grub screws and remove this coupling off the drum shaft.
The drum is now free to come out the top of the machine.

Hope this helps

Cant get the rear shocks out. can get to the nut but cant stop shaft from turning what should i do

use a large channel locks to grab the top part of the shock that protects the metal shaft from dirt and debris. You can then turn the nut with a wrench or turn the shaft with the channel locks. Turning the shaft is sometimes easier.

If you look closely at the top of the shock just under the bottom washer there is usually a hexagonal end that a wrench can be used on. sometimes it is not easy to get a wrench on because of clearances.

We are having issues getting the impeller apart on the jacuzzi magnum force pool pump and need some instructions on how to proceed.

I believe the jacuzzi pump impeller has a locking screw directly in the middle of the impeller. You'll have to turn it clockwise to remove it. Then you'll need to remove the cover from the back of the motor using a 1/4" nut driver. Depending on the motor, you should be able to use a 7/16" open end wrench to hold the motor shaft from turning as you turn the impeller counter-clockwise to remove it. Some motors are different, some have a keyed shaft or require a special tool to hold the shaft while the impeller is removed. Hope this helps.

MTD YARD MACHINE SNOW BLOWER DOES NTO SHIFT INTO

Many times moisture attacks the hexagon shaft that the friction disc assembly slides on. It slides from side to side on the shaft to create Reverse 1 & 2, and the other end creates 1-6 forward. With a wire brush and sandpaper, clean the rust from the hexagon shaft, at the same time lubricate the friction disc bearing with penetrating oil and with a soft hammer, tap gently until the assembly starts to slide on the hexagon shaft. After all the rust is removed and disc assembly is sliding, apply a light film of graphite grease on the shaft. You may want to re-lubricate on a yearly basis.

Planetary shaft for h600 is bent

Thats the center shaft and if it moves back and forth the lower bearing is bad or the shaft has cracked. You need to remove all 3 shaft assemblys. if you already removed the gears on the center shaft then you need to remove the shifting yoke---turn power off to machine then take the screws off the trim plate where you shift speeds, you might see a switch that sits up on the shifter cam, remove the screws and put switch aside, take the 4 allen screws off and pull on the shifter(it will come out).If you didnt already drain the oil do it before you mess with the shifter.after the shifter is out grab the upper left gear assy. and the gear assy. below it,rock both gear assy. and pull up,they will both come out(you might need some force)once out remove the remaining gears on the center shaft and remove the shifting yokes.you then need to remove the planetary (lower part of mixer)if not already done, then pull the shaft out from the bottom.any questions let me know.
