Question about Retail Supplies

I have purchased a used Casio te-4500f register. Is there a way to reset the password? Should I take it to a dealer for config?

I have purchased a used Casio te-4500f register. Is there a way to reset the password? I think I can muddle through programming once I have a password but the manual is seriously lacking descriptions. Also - where "date" should read there are character codes. (Not the numbers, but the actual "date" word.). I haven't yet figured out how to verify entries either. I'm assuming steps must be completed first and then I can print a receipt to check? Does it make more sense to try to find a dealer for configuration?

It is best to get a dealer to setup this model. It is a powerful machine and has a large amount of settings. I'd advise you to have the internal backup battery changed while at the dealer as this holds the program when unplugged and it sounds like yours may be failing. If it's faulty, you will lose everything during a power cut

How to back up the program on a casio TE 4500f and load onto another one

This is part of dealer config but you can do it yourself if you use the instructions in the dealer manual. they will show you which files you can back up. there is a code that can back up all of the terminal so use that one. Part of the keyboard becomes cursor keys to select the file when re-loading so the book will show you how to use these. It's contained in the auto programming section. If you don't have the dealer manual, one of the users has it here:

Searching for a cash drawer compatible with a Casio TE-4500F it currently has a DL-3616

Basically any DL drawer with the same connection on it as the one you have. Sometimes the register may not sit perfectly on top - some drawers have holes to secure the feet of the register, but it should be able to open the drawer. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Are you new balancing before you try to log the second clerk on? Make sure you don't have the check tracking selected. You can use interrupt or tables, but not both.
