SOURCE: my TV keeps shutting off
Tvtek is on the right track. The remote will not solve the problem. Sounds like a voltage regulator in HV circuit if it only lasts a few seconds. If it stays on for a couple of minutes, beam limiter cicuit is pushing to overload and shutting unit down. Magnavox set not hard to repair, but a 27" set is not cost effective to repair either.

Could have a stuck button or a corrupt e-prom, but lets try kicking this set in the head, Now these reset codes are model dependent so this code will not work for every set out there but this reset is for the WD-62525. with the set on and with the original TV remote hit the keys in this sequence, MENU-2-4-7-0 this will bring up a service menu, the cruiser should already be on "Initialize" so simply hit enter. this will reset the TV to factory defaults and may fix your problem

Throw the TV away and vow to never buy something from this manufacturer again.
They not only refuse to help me with the same problem, but they lied to me and created a false comment on my file.
My TV did this only a few days out of warranty. I called them, not expecting them to warrant it, but to possibly give me some ideas for the problem. I spoke with a manager who volunteered to repair it "just this one time" even though it was officially out of warranty. I thanked him over and over, but the next day, suddenly no one 'knew' the conversation took place. They told me they would investigate (on July 2), and I waited until today to call them and they told me that their notes said I was advised that I would have to pay for repair. They told me of a conversation I had on the 3rd with Ed. There was no conversation with anyone on the 3rd, and no Ed.
This company appears to be sleazy. I'm sticking with Sony or another company from now on who tells the truth.

i worked as a chevy mechanic for many years, it sounds like your keyless entry module needs to be reprogrammed, only problem is, it takes a $4000 and a subscription to GM's service site. which most don't have, so its easier to just take it in to the dealer, however before they start working on it have them check for recalls on the programming, chevy releases reprograms on the computer systems every couple months to solve issues like this, if your van has an open reprogram on it, then the dealer will reprogram it for no charge. but make sure you have them check for open bulletins before they put any labor into finding the problem, you may get out with no bill at all if so.
SOURCE: Volume Control
check the up volume button on the set. it sounds like it is stuck in the on position. You can open the back and disconnect the wire harness to the control buttons. This will verify if the volume up button is the problem.
