Open Question

I have a Bush N16 bluetooth speaker. The pre-programmed voice, which tells you if you're connected etc, has changed to speaking in Japanese. Any idea how I can change it back?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: microphone problems

Go to your control panel in windows, you can get there from the start menu no matter what version you are on.

In the control panel, double click on Sound. In the new window, click on file and settings... or advanced I cant remember exactly which as I am using vista. There you should be able to select "Recording". Click ok.

Now you should be able to see where it says microphone, with a volume bar and so on. Put a check in the "Mute" box. This will not completely mute the microphone, it should only make it to where you will no longer hear it on your speakers.

Try talking to your friends now... It should work! I hope this helped to fix your problem, if not, let me know and we can try something else.

SOURCE: i have toyota wish.the voice/audio

The useful navigation system can be thought of as useless when it is set to display the information in the wrong language. For example, you bought the factory or aftermarket systems from japan, then it is common for you to see the information displayed in japanese rather than English. Sometimes, you can fit it easily within a few steps, but it may require the extra software or professional servicing in order to Change Japanese Car Navigation into English.
Instructions
1
Switch off then turn on the vehicle and find out a button in "English." Some cars come with the feature of changing language once the car is on.

Record start/stop on mine is beside to on/off button

on this option screen its the second option down - press record to select.
from there you can select your language.
One you've done that its the same input method for date , you just select the date and time options.

American English voices "Jack" and "Jill" are missing from my Garmin 2597

This is very easy to resolve. Connect the unit to your PC with a USB cable and go to the Garmin website and download Garmin Express or Garmin Web Updater. These programs will scan your unit and offer you additional files to download. If you still have trouble, email me at sharcnet-usa AT sharc DOT net and I can send you the files.

Bush 4.1 sound bar cuts out, connected via optical sound cuts out it is intermittent, happens on tv, dvd/blue ray and media player setting. Any ideas how to stop this happening. Have tried rca cables etc

I get a similar issue from my Bush sound bar. The sound drops out when the tv programme/movie etc has a period of silence in the audio track or just very low background music (no speech). As soon as someone begins to speak it starts up, but usually it misses the first couple of words. Bar is connected directly to a Samsung tv via the optical cable. Any ideas?

I can't change from Japanese to French. Please, show me how . Thank you

To change the language to French;
  • Press TOOLS (The spanner symbol on the bottom right corner of the screen which shows WHERE TO and VIEW MAP) This may take some trial and error if you don't speak Japanese but should be possible)
  • Press SETTINGS (The spanner icon) or LOCALE (the blue icon) on some models that don't have a settings menu)
  • Press LANGUAGE (the lips icon)
This brings you to a screen with 3 items; VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD. Press each one in turn and select Francais. With the VOICE setting you may have to select a name rather than Francais. If so select the name of a person from a French speaking country.

I hope this solves your problem.

My Garmin is displaying symbols in either chinese or japanese and I can't figure out how to change it back to an English mode with American maps.

  1. Press TOOLS (The spanner symbol on the bottom left of the screen that shows WHERE TO and VIEW MAP)
  2. Press SETTINGS (The spanner symbol) or if your model doesn't have a SETTINGS icon press LOCALE (The blue symbol)
  3. Press LANGUAGE (The lips symbol)
You will see a page with 3 items on it. VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD
The voice symbol will have the speaker's name beside it. If the voice is in English it will show the name in English. If not press each icon in turn and change the voice to an English speaking voice.

This will leave only 2. Press each one in turn and change them to American English.

Not speaking street names

To get your TomTom to speak street names, you will need to change the voice from a recorded voice to a computer voice. This can be done by:
  • Connect your TomTom to your computer
  • When the TomTom asks do you want to connect to the computer, choose Yes
  • Open the TomTom Home application
  • Click on the 'Add Traffic, Voices, Safety Cameras, etc.' button
  • Click on the 'Voices' button
  • Click on the 'Computer Voices' button
You can now select a voice to install on the device.
Once you have installed a voice, change it by
  • Disconnect the TomTom from your computer
  • Turn on the TomTom
  • Touch the screen to bring up the menu
  • Touch 'Change Preferences'
  • Touch 'Voice Preferences'
  • Touch 'Change Voice'
  • Use the Left / Right arrows to navigate to the voice you just installed (Look for the word 'computer' in the upper right corner by the male/female option)
  • Touch the 'Select' button
