Check the manual.

The question only reveals that the person who posted it and asked for help isn't familiar with the machine he/she is using. That's not stupid, it happens to us all at times.
As to the answer pointing to the manual, it was not meant to be clever or to impress. It gives the same info you just gave (the need for different wheels is clearly explained in the manual) but, besides (that was the intention) it also gives the the person who asked the question the means to try to solve by himself/herself some other problems that he /she might encounter while using the typewriter.
