SOURCE: it smells like something is burning smells like

If it smells like an incomplete combustion smell, clean the burner first. I'm assuming it used to work and now doesn't? If it never worked correctly it may have the wrong jet in it. There is a jet for propane and one for natural gas. They do not interchange. If it smells like plastic burning, something probably got past the screen and fell into the burner.

SOURCE: 2000 Tundra 4.7L oil pressure fluctuation

Any smoke from the back end? Did you check the oil level? Have you added oil recently? Its possible it might have been over filled. (which can be worse than underfilled) Also, open the radiator cap and check for white gunge. If its there you have a blown oil seal somewhere which is leaking into the coolant. Obviously, also check to see if you enough oil in there first.

Got spots on my lower back

If you haven\'t had chicken pox as a child then adults certainly can contract it. The greater risk in adults is though is that the virus responsible for chicken pox can also cause shingles. This is a much more serious illness.

Measles is also possible to contract as an adult.

Did you have the MMR vaccine? If so, then it is unlikely that you have contracted either measles or chicken pox.

Symptoms of measles generally appear within 14 days of exposure to the virus. Symptoms include:

People with chickenpox have the following symptoms before the rash appears:

  • Fever

  • Headache

  • Stomach ache

The chickenpox rash occurs about 10 to 21 days after coming into contact with someone who had the disease. The average patient develops 250 to 500 small, itchy, fluid-filled blisters over red spots on the skin.

How can I use a pressure cooker for poaching?

It really depends what you want to poach but I will give you an example of how I use my pressure cooker for poaching chicken. I love the way it comes out so moist;

I put my chicken in the pot, salt it, add herbs and spices ( I like bay leaves and cumin) and cover it with water and vegetables. Then I close the lid and lock it, bring it up to pressure and then cook for around 15 minutes.

It's not exciting food but it's super healthy and very tasty.

Good luck.

What kind of oil (vegtable or corn oil )

Hi!

Please use blended vegetable oil, pure corn oil, sunflower oil,
soybean oil or grapeseed (canola oil) because these oils have a high
smoke point. Peanut oil is not recommended because it greatly
impacts the flavor.

• Oils should never be mixed when deep frying.
• High heat, water, and burnt food particles break down the oil’s smoke
point.
• Replace oil if you notice:
- Excessive smoking at normal temperatures
- Strong oil discoloration
- A rancid smell
- Excessive foaming around the frying food

Thanks for using FixYa. Do rate the solution as Fixya if found helpful.

Thanks
Rylee

Do not know how to use

Oil darkens with use the oil food molecules burn when subjected to high prolonged heat.
When frying foods such as fish or chicken use the oil once.

Do not filter oil over to reuse. Storing the oil in the refrigerator may extend the life of the oil, this should not be done ever. This process of chilling the oil and then burning the oil to room temperature causes excessive splattering furing the heat up.

Storing the covered oil in a cool dark place, for up to three months. ( remember to check oil when you use for color, smell, or excessive foaming. Throw out if there is signs of all the above.

This unit has a warranty for one year from the day of purchase.

Cooking:

When starting let unit reheat 7-10 minutes. This will get the heat to desired temperature. Re4ady light will cycle on/off during frying as temperature fluctuates due to food load.
Types of foods cooking: temperatures and time of cooking

Chicken strips 375 F. 5-8 minutes

Chicken pieces, bone-in 375 F. 15-20 minutes

Fish, battered 340 F. 8-10 minutes

French fries, frozen 375F. 3-5 minutes

F375F. 3-5 minutes

Onion rings 375 F. 3-5 minutes

Shrimp, breaded 375 F. 2-5 minutes
When frying frozen food if iced rub off lose as this can make the temperature of oil cool down. Pre-cooked frozen food cooks faster and does not come out oily.

I cannot wait to start cooking in mine as I got it for a christmas gift. Great recipes in the owners manual:

Apples fritters yum yum, beer batter for fish or chicken, deep fried chicken , chicken Kiev, quick doughnut made from biscuits, add topping of ground cinnamon and suger.

4jb1 engine

I can tell about a couple of odors from oils that are quite indicative of the places where they oil is leaking into the exhaust though.

You've got a few internal places where oil can get into the engine and even some can get into the combustion chambers. They have distinctive odors and can really help diagnose the cause or reason for the oil consumption.

First let's start with the "sweet-smells".

This means that the oil have gone through the combustion process along with the engine's fuel (gasoline or diesels too!). It is about the same smell you get whiffing the exhaust on a 2-cycle engine with gas-oil premix.

Places where this CAN happen:

1) Cylinder walls ie; piston rings, worn or broken.
2) PCV system where the oil is sucked into the manifold under vacuum and is entrained into the combustion chamber in the normal air-flow to the engine for combustion.
3) Intake runner-to-head surface gasket(s) where the intake can actually **** oil from the cam tray area or the inner valley between the heads and the intake manifold.
4) Occasionally from changing spark plugs in "well" type plug chambers that let the plug get very close to the head through the head casting. Taking a plug out and letting the collected oil fall into the cylinder is usually a temporary situation, but can scare you when it happens.
5) Cracked head or blown head gasket: this usually has to happen where the head has a high pressure passageway for the oil to travel through the head to get to a cam tower on top of the head.
6) Now - here's something that's gonna get debated, fer sure! ONLY the intake valves can leak past their stem seals and allow oil to travel down the stem onto the combustion process. Remember that I am speaking or "sweet" oil smell here.

Now some of the "not sweet" or bitter oil smell:

1) Exhaust guides or stem seals on the EXHAUST valves ONLY can cause a very acrid smell of nasty, eye watering and cough-inducing stink.
2) CVCC or pre-combustion chambers can also cause this problem. The Honda CVCC engines were notorious for this! The auxiliary valve can leak oil into the pre-chamber and then it opens the valve and dumps the burning mess into the main cylinder head area and the results are a bad BAD stink and lots of white/blue smoke.
3) RARELY...very rarely the exhaust port AFTER the exhaust valve seat can become perforated and allow oil to get into the exhaust stream. It does NOT burn here - rather it just cooks-off with a very bad smell.

So-o-o-o

Acrid oil smell
- the oil has NOT gone through the combustion process in the cylinder head but is rather "cooked" into a stinky odor. It may or may not smoke too much too.

Sweet oil-burning smell - oil that has been burned as part of the combustion process in the combustion chamber on one or more or even all cylinders.
