I have turned the grind knob all the way down, below 1.

Sounds like there is not enough coffee to make a solid puck. If you get crema, grind coarseness sounds ok. A finer grind will produce less coffee grounds for the puck and increases chance of clogging.
You may have to balance grind size with amount of crema to get solid puck.
Big problem with these is you want dark roast for espresso, but oil on beans clogs grinder. Are you using a dark roast? A medium roast works better in these. Or, can you increase the grind time? My Super-auto had a program option to increase time. But not in reg instructions. Got it from authorized repair facility.

I want to cook a rib roast in the pressure cooker. How long to cook? This is NOT a pot roast!

Please don't! You will ruin the prime roasting joint in a piece of beef rib. If you want to boil meat in a pressure cooker, use Tri-Tip or Topside. Roast uncovered in the oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Rest for 15 minutes, remove from the bones and carve. You can roast the bones with BBQ sauce as a snack another day.

How to preparare a cooked ham using cloves

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place ham in a roasting pan, and press whole cloves into the top at 1 to 2 inch intervals. Pack the top with a layer of brown sugar. Pour enough water into the bottom of the roasting pan to come to a 1 inch depth. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil or a lid.
  3. Bake for about 1 hour in the preheated oven or until the internal temperature of the ham has reached 160 degrees F (72 degrees C). Make sure the meat thermometer is not touching the bone. Let stand for about 20 minutes before carving.

I want to serve three kinds of soup in my Rival roaster oven with the three pans. Must I put water in the large pan that the three small pans rest in? Must i put water between the large pan and the...

Your Owner's Guide for the Rival 18 qt. Roaster Oven with Buffet Server can be found here:

http://www.rivalproducts.com/manuals/MANUALS/RO180BR-C_43_18972586.PDF

Refer to page 6 for complete instructions.

You do not add water or anything below the roasting pan. You fill your roasting pan 1/2 to 3/4 full with water, place in the empty serving dishes, then preheat at 350 degrees until hot (about 1/2 hour).

Then fill the serving dishes and reduce heat to 250 degrees. You may need to adjust heat and more hot water if necessary.

Am I supposed to take out the large insert before roasting a turkey?

No, no, that is the cook pan, roasting pan or "cookwell". That is where the food goes!
If you have never run the roaster you MUST burn it in first (tonight!) 1 hour or longer at 400, outside on the porch or in the garage; it burns off really smelly factory leftovers that smell really bad and will contaminate your food and atmosphere.
