SOURCE: GE toploader Washing Machine pumping problems

Sounds like the water is syphoning away due to the drain outlet hose being too low..Raise the hose higher, and this should solve the poroblem.

SOURCE: E1 fault code Dishwasher runs for

Hi,
I think both the heater and thermostat / trip switches need to be checked.
If water is going in and out ok, then it seems to be waiting to heat the water. It sees a fault - so just clears out.
Heating elements do fail after a few years.

My sink fills quarter the way with water when my washing machine is working, please help as i am a computer repair person not a plumber, thanks.

would seem to me that your waste pipe from your sink,or at least partly.so when the waste water is being pumped out into the waste pipe it is too much for the partly blocked pipe so it overflows bacj up the sink.try the good old plunger on the plughole, but idealy you should take your ubend apart and clean it out.you also get strong solutions for dissolving grease and the likes that you pour down the plug hole

How to check for blockage when washing machine wont pump water out

To determine if your pipes are blocked on your washing machine, when it will not pump out the water you can carry out a simple test. 1st remove the drain hose from your waste pipe or if connected to u bend on sink remove connection. Hold the pipe into a bowl as low to the ground as possible. If water flows from the pipe then your pipes on the machine are not blocked. If your connection is onto a u bend below your sink then before replacing pipe check u benb for blockage. If this fails then your problem is more sinnister and could be a number of reasons as to why your water cannot pump out.

Samsung dmr77 dishwahser not washing or rinsing

Not the same washer, but same prob. I lay a bowl on the floor and placed the out flowing pipe from the pump side and a load of old water ran off followed by the fresh water just added. I raised the pipe to stop the out flow and then blew down the pipe and heard the air bubble in the washer, so that was now free. I secured the raised pipe , then cleared the verticle pipe and bend to the waste junction to the ubend under the kitchen sink. It was the blocked verticle waste that had caused the problem. I replaced pump's out flow pipe and all was well. ?This kind of blockage might have damaged your pump, but like me, you may be lucky.

My hotpoint wmd962 smells of stagnant water and the clothes come out smelling worse than when they went in?

By the sound of this, the waste pipe is probably connected under your sink. If this is the case then water flows back from the waste pipe and u bend. Just check and ensure your grey waste pipe is raised above the level of the u bend this should stop the problem. Also use a little soda crystals to clean pipes. Hopefully this will resolve your problem.

Is it possible to slow down or reduce the rate at which water drains out of the washing machine? My drain line is restricted and if the load is more than "Small", it drains too quickly and starts...

There is no flow adjustment on the drain on any washing machine, I had a similar problem on my old washing machine, I discovered the problem was the waste water pipe in my house was clogged with scum from detergent residue, I poured liquid plumber where the washing machine drain hose goes into the waste pipe in the house waited for 1/2 hour, then filled the washing machine with hot water, reinserted the drain hose, and wrapped it up with duct tape to prevent further leaks, and the force of hot water uncloged the pipe, .Problem solved

Water does not drain does not rinse

while water is in machine it cant go forward to rince. Check for a blockage, by getting the waste pipe at the rear of machineand placing it as low to the ground as possible in a bowl. If water flows from pipe then this will indicate a pump failure.if no water flows from pipe then you will need to remove back from machine and then under the tub will be a black pipe going to the pump. Starting with this remove the pipe and cheak for blockage. you will then need to temove the grey waste pipe and check this.If you have a filter check the filter first. but not all machines do have a filter at the front. Also if you have removed pipes then just feel inside the pump for any objects stopping it running. All of this can be dine without machine bieng on so just unplug machine before you start. Good luck

Will not spin out or drain water during wash cycle\

1st check your waste pipe is not blocked. To do this take the end of the waste pipe and lay it as low as possible to the ground. If the water then flows out from machine then the problem is not due to a blockage and you will then probably need to replace the pump.Depending on make and model of machine depends how you need to remove the pump as some machines are different.

F18 Error

the error is caused by a blockage in the pump you need to drain the washer using the black tube near the pump drain or by unscrewing the pump cover next to it on excel 8kg washer these are at bottom right of machine. when all water out remove pump cover that you loosened to get water out then check for blockages inside. the pump has a device inside that should move round freely remove all debris replace and try to drain using drain cycle this will finish and hey presto back to normal!!
