Try another ground fault. If still problem check for water or rust in any electrical terminal boxes.

SOURCE: Ground Fault circuit Breaker trips each time a load is applied

The most likely causes in their order of probability are: 1) water somewhere in the circuit causing the hot wire to ground; 2) a legitimate trip caused by a defect in a device plugged into the circuit; and 3) a defective GFCI breaker. In the first case, wait until it has been dry for about a week and see if it trips. In the second case, make sure there is nothing plugged into the circuit and try resetting. In the third case go ahead and put the regular breaker in, then put a GFCI outlet into the first box downstream from the breaker. If installed according to the directions, that outlet should protect all of the outlets downstream.

SOURCE: trips ground fault on plugging into receptacle

I just opened one of the machines with this issue and found that the heating element is entirely ripped open (over the length of the coiled heating element) and the water contaminated with brownish stuff from within the element.
Was wondering if that part can be replaced.

SOURCE: Pump plugged in to grounded receptacle trips the

If by "trips the breaker" you mean the GFI then you are leaking current to ground, GFI's trip when there is an imbalance between the current going to the motor on the HOT side and returning from the motor on the NEUTRAL side, if it is tripping the GFI it is likely the sign of a failing motor.

What would cause my emerson quiet kool air conditioner 10GC13-L to keep tripping the breaker?

It probably has something shorted to ground or the compressor or motors are stuck causing a high amperage problem. The breaker is probably fine but it also could be weak but normally its the compressor or a component has faulted to the compressor. If the unit immediately trips breaker its probably shorted to ground. If the unit struggles to start and a few seconds pass before it trips then it may be a component fault.

Pressure washer turn on after using it this morning

FIRST TEST THE GFCI RESET MUST ENGAGE WHEN POWERED WHEN YOU PRESS THE RESET YOU SHOULD FEEL A LIGHT CLICK IF SO THEN PRESS TEST YOU SHOULD HEAR IT TRIP, THIS IS GOOD UNIT SHOULD POWER AFTER YOU RESET IT IF IT DOES NOT RESET EITHER THE GFCI KNOWN AS THE GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER IS DETECTING MOISTURE INSIDE THE UNIT POSSIBLY SPRAYED AT THE OPENINGS PREVENTING USER FROM GETTING SHOCK,CHECK UNIT FOR MOISTURE GFCI SHOULD TRIP WHEN YOU POWER UNIT UP UNTIL MOISTURE IS GONE.IF NO MOISTURE DETECTED UNIT HAD A FLOW SWITCH INSIDE THAT CAN ALSO BE STUCK. SORRY FOR THE CAPS.

Simoniz S2000 XE02 internal cct breaker keeps tripping after 30secs tried to get a parts break down but that info is really ****** and nothing on line anywhere. Any idea what causes the cct breaker to...

First be very careful because the unit is protected by a ground fault internal circuit interrupter and may trip if there is a short circuit to ground. Even a very small short circuit will trip the circuit breaker.

Something else: If you are plugging it into an already existing ground fault outlet then that may also cause one of the breakers to trip.

Like I first mentioned, if you don't know what your doing be very careful. Electricity and water are not friends, especially if the circuit breaker is tripping.

Good luck,

Marty

Need more info:
What fuse? the one at the end of the cord on the pressure washer? Or the circuit breaker on your house?

If it is the one on the cord it may have gone bad. To test replace it with normal plug (non-GFI) and plug it into an outdoor or bathroom GFCI (GFI) outlet. If it still trips that outlet then there is a ground fault in the device which may be minor or major.

If it is a home circuit breaker remember that electric pressure washers use a lot of power - typically 1500 watts. If anything else is plugged in it can trip the house circuit breaker.

When the 1700 psi electrical model is plugged in it trips a circuit breaker. Did not do that before.

Greenworks 1700 psi - Pressure Washer Problem and Solution:

Problems:
1. The main problem is the water outlet connector between the pump and the pressure hose. It's made of plastic. So water ran to the motor, switch and capacitor.
2. The 2 connectors to the capacitor may be rusted by now. So it build high current when plug-in and pressing the power-on button. Caused the power breaker to trip.
3. The motor is stuck caused the power breaker to trip too.

"These were the problems I encountered."

Solutions:
1. Disassemble the top cover by removing 10 pcs Philip screws on the left and right side at the bottom. Note: you need a 1 foot long Philip screw driver to do this job. Next, removed 4 hex screws at the middle.

2. Check the capacitor: Mine, was pushed out from the cover and the 2 connectors were rusted. Just in case, replaced the 2 connector instead of salvaging them. Pile the 2 connectors of the big capacitor. Note: This big capacitor is lethal, that it can harm/shock you if it is charge: (230Vac), make sure is completely discharge, by checking the DC voltage from Digital multimeter. To discharge place a light bulb as load between the 2 connectors. Check and measure the capacitance or use an ESR meter to make sure the capacitor is in working condition.

3. check the motor: Try to spin the propeller/small blade by hand. If it doesn't move or spin do this: Remove the black plastic cover and used allen / hex driver. If it doesn't move /spin try this: tap the shaft (where the hex located) with the hammer softly, then spin it. If it doesn't move tap again with little harder until the motor spin using your hand rotation.

4. The main problem is the water outlet connector (model no.:34117365) causing all these problems. It was made of plastic. Don't try to glue or repair it. I tried JB weld and didn't work. Imagine 1700psi coming out of this connector. Use the Sears replacement part no. 33101365 - a solid metal. use for craftsman pressure washer. It's the perfect replacement. Cost $8.52 and about $19.00 with shipping.

5. Assemble and check out other outlet(s) for leakage. If found one, the outlet connecting to the soap line. I used plastic tie.

This pressure washer belongs to my neighbor. Asked if I can fix it for I fixed their 3 computers long time ago. It was a challenge for me, because I didn't have experience in fixing pressure washer before. But it everything works now. Good luck.

Gfi installed yesterday on washer 120 v outlet. washer is maytag 3 years old and gfi began tripping during washcycle. can it be washer 3 pronged cord is not grounded at connection in rear of washer?...

The ground not being connected does not tirp thr gfi. The gfi senses the current between the two legs it will trip when the current returning to ground (neutral) exceeds 5mili amps. This is for personal protection. If you have a gfi circuit breaker disconnect the black wire from the breaker, if it does not trip you likely have a groung fault in the washer. If you have a dryer or other metal object that is grounded (Bonded) you may get a shock from it, also standing (barefoot) on a concrete floor may cause the same. ( bonded is a gronded conductor that attaches all metal parts of a electrical curcuit together) a hot lead goes to ground is a dead short and will trip any breaker.

The gfci on cord keeps tripping

GFCI's trip because theire is current leaking to ground. This often can be be caused simply by electrical components getting wet.

Or, it can be caused by a serious short to ground.

Fist, check to see if the inside circuits are getting wet from an internal leak. If so, fix leak, dry off components with a har dryer, try again.

If GFCI trips, it should be serviced by an experienced appliance repair person.
