If the register suddenly changed language, it has lost the programming. It will have a memory backup battery that has failed. In some models, you can change the battery. the scanner comes with a programming card, just scan the barcode to start programming, then scan the barcode that says usb and then scan the barcode that says end programming, and it will start working again
