Braun tekstile 5 leaking, and i cannot take it apart. The back part is done. What do about the front

My first idea was to throw it out and buy a new one until I saw it. This is a substantial piece of appliance. Somewhere you have water mixing with electricity. The most likely part is the heating element or the connection to it. It also have a very substantial circuit board and it has a pump. If the tube to the pump has a leak it may be spraying onto the electrics. There is a pretty good disassembly video here.

Take it apart and test the switch. It may be brushes on the motor. your problem will be getting spares. This machine was released in 1965.

The battery may not be any good, even though the lights go on they only require a tiny amount of power, the motor on the other hand requires a lot of power, and so it will not run. Pull the razor apart and test the motor with an external battery.

cant say i have done it to this model , but I have done procedure for a Phillips model , there may be a screw , but mostly they pull apart like a remote for a television , internal clips / self locking , strong finger nails can do it , or a plastic pry tool to leaver it apart carefully , it's a finesse things , & sometimes patience lol , now for battery , not sure on this model , they usually have 2 x AA rechargeable batteries inside them , but they are cross soldered together to double voltage , there is also a wire soldered from device to battery terminal , buying the same type of battery and quantity , 2 X AA rechargeable etc.. you can solder them , be sure to firmly scratch top and bottom of batteries before attempting to solder them , take notice of other batteries and connection's , use a guide to solder new one's in, experience soldering is required ,

I just took ours apart for the same reason. In our case, it turns out that one of the two water indicators was cracked (at the top), causing the leak. The cracks were invisible without taking it apart.

On the upside, the wk600 is really well designed - easy to take apart for repair. But I can't find replacement parts anywhere...

use a small flat screwdriver to gently pry off the plastic cap that surounds the AC port. once removed, the side grips will pull off revealing 4 screws on the back. remove screws to seperate front and back case and get to the insides. batteries van be purchased at shaveroutlet.com

Follow the instruction and remove the swivel head. Then remove the 2 screws at the bottom. I still have problem sliding the two side head support off.

Might there be some stuff crusting the dispanser vent? Did you clean it regularly? If you've not done that, this is what you do:

1) Open up the lid where the T-Disc is supposed to go.

2) Take out any moveable (not breakable) object, for instance the thing that punctuates the T-Disc(its made of two parts stuck together) and the T-Disc holder.

3) Take 'em apart and put 'em into your dishwasher or wash it by hand.

4) Wipe the entire T-disc area with a damp cloth, make sure nothing stays there that isn't supposed to be there.

5) Put the removed and cleaned parts back very carefully and watch out that they are exactly in place, if in doubt wheter they are fitted correctly, just shake them a little. There should be no movement other than up and down.

6) Enjoy your coffee!
