I want the security feature to the remote disabled how do I do this?

To de-program the RKE fob from the 1st truck ( the 1998 one ? ), enter programming mode. I had to try 3 times on my 2001 to enter programming mode, and thought I did it the same each time, obviously I did not, so do not give up if you do not enter programming mode the 1st time.

Once you enter programming mode ( locks cycle ) wait 30 seconds, and programming mode should exit. Entering programming mode for the RKE fobs erases all previous RKE fobs.

This should cure the problem with the RKE fobs being programmed to 2 different trucks.

The RKE ( Remote Keyfob Entry ) is not a security feature, just a convenience item, so you are not disabling any actual security item.
