There is no such thing as a 'solar battery' :>) All solar powered electronic devices have a solar panel which creates DC power which charges a normal lithium ion, or nickel metal hydride battery. Normally, the battery will last the life of the appliance. I am guessing you are talking about some type of weather station, or perhaps a security device, you don't say? If there are no screws, there are probably internal clips that lock together when pressed shut during manufacture. The can be released using a tool called a 'bludger', which presses in the right place and unlocks the catch. The problem is knowing where they are? If you know someone who works at an airport or a hospital, you can get then to x-ray it. Or you can just hope for the best and use a flat bladed screwdriver. Glue it back together afterwards with superglue.

Also,

If you have lost the outside temperature on the clock display after replacing the transmitter battery then do the following:

1. Make sure you have good batteries installed in the remote transmitter
2. Remove the batteries from the main clock and keep them out until the clock display disappers.
3. Re-install the batteries in the clock.
4. Wait until the display returns and includes the outside temperature display as well.
5. Set the clock again for current time/date etc.
6. Bingo. You are in business.

Weak batteries, most likely. Replace the transmitter batteries with fresh ones.

I have eight atomic clocks, none of them have the outside temperature working, all have new batteries???

If your outside temperature is not showing on your clock, that may mean that the clock and the transmitter have lost their connection. To reconnect them you must first take the batteries out of both of the units for 15 minutes. First put the batteries back into the transmitter, and then the clock. Let them sit side by side inside your home. When both the indoor and outdoor temperatures show on your clock with the same reading, or within two degrees of each other, then you may put your transmitter back outside. Remember to keep the transmitter out of the direct sun in a dry place. Also keep it away from metal, which can affect the readings.

Can't get outside temp on my atomic clock

If you still have the instructions read up on pairing the transmitter to the clock. You'll need to do that every time you change batteries on the outside transmitter. If you don't have those instructions , go to the clock's web page to get the manual for your model of clock.

Wa 1070t willnot transmit signal from the outside sensors to the display

I have a WA-1070T with same problem
brand new would not communicate

look very carefully at the positive end of the battery connections in the outdoor transmitter

One of the two batteries were not making a connection

I had to cut out a small piece of plastic that interfered with battery alignment

As soon as batteries are installed in remote transmitter you will see a red LED flash a few times

After I made this correction everything worked

Blank screen for wind --- new batteries in everything

Did you press the reset on the solar transmitter after you replaced the batteries? It is left of the NiCAD pack if the AA batteries are on the right. If after pressing reset, and you are using a WMR 938, and still not receiving, press and hold the "channel" button for 5 seconds on your monitor to re-register the signal from the transmitter.

I have inherited a IT-915 MHz wireless temp. station--the batteries in outside sensor were taken out but still in box-can i put them back in at this time to reset the sensor and how to set them ?

You shoud use new batteries because you dont know how old the ones that are present are. You should also use lithium battteries in the weather station sensors because they last longer and have better low temp response. The batteries should have marks on them that correspond with the marks inside the sensors.

I had one of these a while back and it had a required sequence for putting in the batteries. When the signal dies and you have to replace the transmitter batteries and the clock batteries in a certain sequence. The transmitter batteries cannot just be replaced. You also had to remove the clock batteries, then put in the transmitter batteries, then replace the clock batteries.

We replaced the batteries on our SIO SCAN temp transmitter but it still will not register the outside temperature--what do I do?

Take the batteries out of the clock AND the temp transmitter. Wait about a minute, then replace the clock batteries. Wait another minute, then replace the transmitter batteries. Once the clock synchronizes with the satellite, you will need to set the time zone and whether you want DST on or off.

The solar eyes dont light up anymore

Check the rechargable batteries insode of the decoy. The solar panels recharge the batteries so that they can supply energy to the lights at night. The batteries have a limited lifespan and need to be replaced every couple of years. Replacing the batteries ought to bring your decoy back to life. Enjoy!
