HP Pavilion DV7 freezing during charging

When your laptop goes on battery power the processor automatically gears down to conserve battery power, but when charger is used the processor goes to full power and you run heavy programs drawing more resources, I suggest you upgrade your ram because heavy gaming uses more ram memory.

Good day mam/sir can anyone help me with my laptop. when i start my computer and i put in the charger the laptop will crash. but if i charged my laptop with the same charger, and use it without the charger...

The most likely cause is a bloated registry which has become the home for all kinds of useless bits and pieces of data. Whenever any change is made to the system settings or a program is installed or uninstalled, a new entry is generated in the registry. The operating system while running your computer has to pick its way through all this excess material. There is a multitude of useless bits and pieces to be removed.Parts of uninstalled programs, parts of incompletely installed programs, dead drivers and many other things. clean your registry and remove all the useless data fragments and no longer needed information to fix the freeze error! I should like to commend Registry Easy to you ! You can try ! Good luck!

When i log onto my LG notebook x120, it freezes. it takes some time for the mouse to freeze, but the rest of the programs are frozen.

If this happens almost immediately when logging on to Windows, it can mean one thing.

Usually a freezing is related to the battery, charger, or anything electrical. First, try to remove the battery and run the laptop solely on the charger.

If this doesn't work, then check the charger to make sure the voltage and amperage is correct.

If they are, then the problem is internal and you will need to get it serviced.

Laptop freezing.

Most likely need to do a complete system reboot, or run a program that cleans up the system, sounds like a regestry issue with the operating system, if you're not savvy with operating system fixes, then I would suggest taking to a shop..

Laptop freeze when in ac charger

You really should have a cheap multimeter to help in this case.
There are three possible failures; the new battery pack has a shorted cell, the charger is defective or a regulator internal to the laptop is failing.
With meter, you can check two of the three areas; the battery pack and the charger. Depending on which kind of batteries are used in the pack, if it is charged, you can determine if it is completely functional by checking contacts on the case of the pack. The most common type of battery used is the nickle-metal hydride type (NiMH) which has a nominal voltage of ~1.2 volts.  If the pack is rated 6 volts, you could measure either 4.8, 6 or 7.2 volts with the last one the most likely. If it measures 4.8 or 6 volts, it probably has one or two cells shorted, making it useless.
The charger could measure all over the map; many of them are unregulated and if they are rated at (for example) 9 volts, they could easily put out 14-20 volts when they do not have a load on them.
If those two items seem to check out OK, then the regulator in the system has gone bad. This might be on a separate board inside but to check it out, you really need some technical experience, otherwise you don't really know what you are seeing or looking for.
