Go to "Control Panel>>>System>>>Device Manager.Once in Device Manager, then click on "Disk Drives" (Make sure your flash drive is plugged in before you do this). You should see your flash drive listed by it's name (SanDisk Cruzer...). If you don't see your flash drive listed, the computer is not recognizing it and your drive may have been damaged by static electricity. If your flash drive is listed, then it's a more complicated troubleshooting procedeure than I can Walk you through in one posting. So try looking in "Device Manager" and then let me know what happened.

Try a different USB device on each of the USB ports on your computer.
Hopefully, all your USB ports are working correctly.

Try a different USB port on your computer.
Hopefully, the SanDisk will be detected on one of the ports.

Try a USB port on a different computer.
If the SanDisk still is not detected, then spend $10 to buy a new 4GB flash-drive.

Try connecting to a different USB port.
Try connecting to a USB port on a different computer.

If neither works, then your device has "failed". Permanently.

My laptop does not see my sandisk when I plugged

Files on a flash drive can be corrupted if it is not removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flash drive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the flash drive you need to format the flash drive, but you will lose the data stored on the flash drive.
If you need the data on the flash drive these WEB sites may help: -

When i plug my sandisk 2gb it dosent work!

Have you tried every USB port? Do any other things work on your USB ports? Is it USB 2.0 and your computer only does USB 1.0? Have you tried the sandisk in another computer? Does the USB port feel loose when the sandisk is inserted? Sounds like the sandisk may be bad.

Printer won't work because I plugged into it a SanDisk.

I was told to unplug it, since the printer would not respond. That worked! It reset itself when I plugged it back in and turned it on. Thank you.

Stopped working COMPLETELY!!!!

Had same problem.

I wiggled back and forth the part that goes into the USB port and the drive was recognized and I could copy my files onto my hard drive.

I had this problem with a different make USB flash drive and used the same procedure to get the files back.

I think that some connection inside the flash drive works loose after a while.

I am not going to trust these drives for files storage, but only to transfer files.
