Question about Car Audio & Video
Have 2003 monte carlo with an aux input just started cutting in and out works sometimes but dosen't on other times also if i remove factory stereo will it affect any of the car systmems like the alarm?
If the radio itself works all the time then you probably have a bad connection between the aux device and the radio. It could be a cable, or it could be the jack. Depending on that it is in easy fix or a harder one. You can take it to a place that installs car stereo equipment and have them look at it or just tackle it yourself. If you put in an aftermarket radio you will need a wiring harness and possibly an antenna adapter. Sometimes you need other things that interface between the car and the harness as well such as controls for steering wheel remotes and other special items.
