Question about Sharp AQUOS LC-32GP1U 32 in. LCD HDTV

1 Answer

No channels shown and no sound. The problem seems to be a circuit board located top center with P/N CPWBX3709PT. I don't think this is the true P/N. I need the P/N to order the board.

You referring to lcd control board witch never causes sound problem. If lcd control fail, your TV will power up, back light will turn on and sound will work just fine. Only video would be missing. Part number is correct but missing last 2 simbols. (last symbol usually engraved on white rectungle)

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

Denon receiver avr 1506 has sound issues. One side has very very low crackly sound until the receiver is good and warm then suddenly the sound starts working normally on the affected side. Or if I really...

Sounds like a thermal related problem and what comes to mind is a cold solder joint. I'm thinking that the "good and warm" is the circuit boards heating up inside where-as the "really crank the volume" is sound vibration to the circuit board helping to make connection. Try this...1st time turn on with problem present...use a clenched fist to lightly vibrate the chassis on top, bottom and sides. Does this vibration test make the problem disappear/appear? If it is a solder connection be warned...locating and repairing these type problems is no picnic and most often requires the "trained eye" of a electronics tech to locate.

Camry 1989 indicator flasher unit location

I don't know where it is but they are usually easy to find, often on the interior fuse board, have a look at your owners manual or on the fuse board cover to see if it's shown there...failing that if it does operate then turn you indicators on and trace the sound.
Often people think the flasher unit has gone when it either sticks on or flashes very fast, more often in these cases you simply have an indicator lamp blown

I have a Yamaha RX-V2092 with a 7 speaker set up. Purchased new. Everything has worked great until recently. Now the center channel speaker, left front effect speaker & left main speaker short off...

It seems that the main sound processor comes into an error and so seems a fault on the board. Since checking for a component level solution is very tricky as the access is not friendly, what could be done initially is to remove and reset the boards, check for faulty connectors that seems to vibrate and bring in these faults. Check the solde joints of the connector pins on the board. Check and solder the processor IC and the allied circuits. If the fault seems to disappear when the set heats up then you must check using a magnifier.Check the solder on the audio driver outputs of the center, main , front and rear are clean.
If not refer and proceed with consensus as a false move can cripple the set.

Center channel goes off and will not come on until i tap on amp

There are bad solder connections on the circuit board inside the receiver, if you are handy with a soldering iron remove the top part of the case and trace the center channel speaker wires to the board, this will isolate the problem in the general area, chances are it is the center channel ic that need to be retouched.

Have sound and can change channel but have a black screen. Just went out today. It is a RCA 42 inch lcd tv model no. L42WD22YX6, sERIAL NO. IO76EUOOI.

From the symptoms mentioned it seems that you have a problem with the LCD back lighting circuit, also called inverter circuit.
One way to confirm is to turn on the TV with the room lights out ( dark room ). From the back ventilation grill on the top of the TV you should be able to see some white light ( like a fluorescent lamp ) coming out from behind the LCD panel. If not its the inverter circuit problem. The inverter circuit provides high voltage to the cold cathode lamp array behind the LCD panel. To get to it one will have to strip the TV. You have to remove the back cover, disconnect the circuit boards and remove them and then remove the metal shield plates before you can get to the inverter board. Then you will have to get the replacement board from the authorized service center. Get professional help if you are not up to it or revert back for further instructions.

Power, channel and sound buttons are not functioning properly.

Dear Sir,

By analysing your problem it seems to be a moisture problem.Take out the circuit board check for any dry soldering, then rub the upper surface with pure cotton cloth where key pad located, then make dry by heating it beneath the 60 watt bulb for about 15 min, ensure that bulb is not located to near,it may burn inner circuits. After this process, rearrange your remote and check it agin.I think it solves your problem

good luck.

Dell 5650 speaker wire adapter

As I understand it, this adapter is used ONLY to adapt a standard 2-channel stereo output to the 3, 1/8" plugs of the Dell 5650 5.1 system. These 3 plugs would normally plug into the front, rear, and center/sub outputs on a computer designed to output 5.1 channel sound.

To make this clear, what this means is that the output you get from your 2-channel stereo system, using this adapter with the Dell 5650 5.1 system, will NOT be full 5.1 surround will be 2-channel stereo signals intermixed so that it plays from the 5650 system through the Dell amplifiers and speakers...nothing more.

This cannot be over-emphasized. The adapter does NOT create true 5.1 sound from a 2-channel stereo output system.

If you are hoping to get true 5.1 output from a 2-channel stereo system, you will be disappointed.

All this adapter likely does is split/mix some of the 2-channel signal into the rear channel, and split/mix some of the SAME 2-channel signal into the center-sub channel, just so you will get some output from those speakers. There may be some low-pass filtering for the sub-woofer input.

It is almost certainly a very simple passive circuit consisting of resistors, capacitors, and possibly an audio transformer or two.

Look for circuit on Do-It-Yourself electronic sites and build it yourself...or you're almost certain to be ripped-off.
