Question about Apple iPod nano

2 Answers

I accidently washed my ipod...when i looked it up on the internet, a considerable amount of websites say to let it sit. I let it sit but it still won't work. I can get my songs to play on my ihome, but it won't let me do put anymore on, and the it won't light up. As soon as I take it off the ihome it goes blank. Any solutions?

Put it in sunlight for 10 minutes, then try again. You can also try using a hairdryer. The moisture trapped inside needs to dry up before it can work properly. If this does not work then take it to the apple store or continue playing it thru iHome.

Unfortunately they do not take accidents into consideration. Google toll roads near you and you should be able to find the website where you can enter your plates and pay.

Camera will not power up

If like most film cameras this one has been sitting for a while unused the batteries are most likely dead AND there might be a considerable amount of corrosion in the battery compartment. All that corrosion needs to be removed before your F100 will work again.

you can only try ... the chances are bare minimum .... keep it to dry under a bulb or sumthing .... dont keep too near or it will melt ..... after around 12-14 hours ..... restore the same using itunes ..... that is the most that can be done

My ipod nano chromatic ha water damage from the washer

Sometimes if you leave it sit for several days or so it will dry out completely and start to work again. I don't recommend charging it or plugging it in for several days or so as if there is still water in it, it may fry some of the chips. It may be beyond repair though.

Ipod droped

Letting any electronic device go through a washing machine is not a good idea so I hope this was an accident. There is probably nothing that can be done to save your Ipod as fabric softner and soap that would be used are both things that would mess up the internal connections of any electronic device (not to mention the water). Assuming that the ipod did not also go through the dryer (which would create static electricity and probably fry the chips in the ipod also) you can try leaving the ipod sit out for a week or two and then hooking it up to a wall charger and waiting about five minutes to see if it will power on. I would recommend keeping something to put out an electrical fire handy if you decide to do this as I have seen Ipods catch fire when this is done. Also keep in mind the ipod will probably break down sooner rather then later if this works as the water will cause rust to occur on the inside of the device.
