Take the lens off and continue pressing the shutter untill it doesn't react anymore, you should then have a normal menu without the error message.Put your lens on and you're all sorted.Cheaper and less hassle than sending it to Nikon.

SOURCE: Dyson dc27 (not ball version) extension wand will

    Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC27. If the wand is jammed, it's likely that the hose was twisted when you replaced the wand on the cleaner the last time you used it. It's easy to rectify:

    • Pull the wand up as far as it will go
    • With the rear of the cleaner facing you, follow the hose down to where it attaches at the base of the machine
    • Grip the section of loose hose and pull it away from the cleaner
    • Holding the loose section of hose out of the way, pull the hose release tab
    • With the base of the hose detached from the cleaner, allow the hose to straighten itself out
    • Reattach hose to cleaner
You should find following these steps untwists the hose, allowing the wand to move up and down without restriction. However, if you need further assistance, please get in touch with us free so one of our experts can run through some troubleshooting checks over the phone with you. Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty with your DC15. This machine is equipped with a sensor which shuts off the brushbar if something jams it. Once you've checked the cleaner head for obstructions, and removed any threads or hair from around the brushbar, you should be able to reset the machine as shown in the video below.

    Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC15. From what you've described, it sounds as if the relief valve is activating - if you've already washed the filter, it may be activating due to a blockage in the machine. The easiest way to locate and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

    http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=813&product=DC15-SY-STD

Although I note you've already washed the filter, you may want to take a look at the video below to make sure you've cleaned it as recommended. In normal use, this should be done at least once every 3-6 months. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 12 hours for the filter to dry completely before replacing it.

This should resolve the issue, but if you'd like any further assistance or advice, please call our Helpline free on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US).

I cleaned my canister and filter and once I put it back together, nothing will suction through the head of the vacuum. Only the hose works.

    Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC15. If it doesn't seem to be picking up as well as usual through the cleaner head, this may be due to a blockage in the machine - it's also a good idea to check the brushbar is rotating as normal. The easiest way to do this is to follow the steps shown in our online support site:

    http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=813&product=DC15-SY-STD

Although I note you've already washed the filter, you may want to take a look at the video embedded below to check you've done so correctly. In normal use, this should be done at least once every 3-6 months. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 12 hours for the filter to dry completely before replacing it.

This should resolve the issue, but if you'd like any further help or advice with your machine, I'd encourage you to get in touch with us directly for assistance. You can call our Helpline free on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US).

The brushes are not going round when the hoover is being used in upright position, there is no obstruction and the brush part has been cleaned?

    Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC15 All Floors. If you've already checked the cleaner head for obstructions and cleaned the brushbar, you may need to reset the brushbar. To do this, with the cleaner reclined into the vacuuming position, turn the suction motor on using red on/off switch, then press the silver switch next to the on/off switch twice. This should get the brushbar running again.

If you've tried this but have not been able to resolve your issue, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you, and recommend the best course of action. You can call us free on 08002980298 - our Helpline is open from 7am until 10pm, 7 days a week. We'll look forward to hearing from you.
