Hi,
As far as i know Samsungs LCD monitors run on either 12 or 14 volts and 3 amps, if you can post the actual model number i will be able to narrow power specs down for you.
You can find the model or part number at the back of the unit.

Regards.

We have to push the on button on our TV from 20-100 times to get it to turn on. Have changed batteries and restarted to no avail.

"He said our TV has a problem". Brilliant! To be more specific, he could have suggested switch failure or a failing power supply.

My ECS17 KVM tray will not respond to hotkey commands.

The LCD is just that an LCD, you would need a Switch behind it in order to get into the Hotkeys.

Can you recommend a brand of KVM switch that will work with the MX 5500 wireless system

I am not sure about MX500, but this kvm switch works fine with all major OS. So, it should work fine with MX500 too. You can always try, just view its specifications and you may find it useful.

No backlight on Samsung 710N LCD Monitor

No, it is not easy to change the backlight on an LCD panel. The backlight is an integrated part of the LCD panel itself. The backlight for LCD monitors is also model and manufacturer specific, so there's no easy place to order a backlight to do it yourself. The good news is that your Samsung monitor should come standard with a 3 year warranty, so if it's less than 3 years old, you can call Samsung and they'll repair/replace it for free. If it's over 3 years old, then you may need to repalce the monitor... or pay to have it repaired.

4-port usb kvw switch #GCS634U

The GCS634U is designed and tested to work only with a standard USB keyboard and mouse. However, most wireless keyboards and mice work with it, but they cannot guarantee any specific model or brand that would work correctly.

As you can see, this KVM switch is a bus powered device (meaning it only gets power from the USB ports of the computers). If the computer cannot provide enough power for the KVM switch to function correctly, then the wireless keyboard will be affected.

You may try using the IOGEAR GKM541RA. It's tested to work with the GCS634U. Or you may also try using a self-powered USB hub (meaning, it has it's own power adapter) and connect it in between the KVM switch and the computer. That self-powered USB hub will be the one that will add up power to the KVM switch and help it to function properly.

AC-DC power converter for Samsung SyncMaster 191T Flat Panel Monitor

According to all the specifications on the web that has built in power. You should just need a standard PC power cable.

Maybe the SN on the monitor would help to locate what you need.
