What is the gas pressure on both compressors on subzero 321

The pressure of the refrigerant in the systems vary depending on the temperature of the refrigerant gas and the type of gas used. So this is a question that can't be answered without a lot of additional information.

Hi, and no they are not related, but act like they are. If the outdoor unit starts, fan and all, we call this short cycling on its pressure switch. You have 2 pressure switch's, one for low pressure as its low on freon, or high pressure where its overheating and shutting off on its head pressure switch. Unplug it at the box near the unit. Take a garden hose and wash your coil out real good, but not to flatten the aluminum fins on the coil. You can also use a solution of detergent and water to spray the coil down before washing if you can, but you don't have to to find out if it is the high pressure switch. If it continues to short cycle, then you have developed a small leak and lost enough freon to cause this problem. You will need to have it charged and leak checked if they determine how large of a leak it is. I am pretty sure from the amount of time it starts and stops, its low on gas. When the unit starts, the compressor will start to pump causing it to go into a vac on the low side gauge. When running on a full charge, it will be on about 64 p.s.i. at 95 degrees outdoors. If is low on gas/freon, it will pull down to around 20 p.s.i. which is the factory set point for the low pressure switch to kick off. The gauge will then start to rise and in seconds start up and repeat this again. This is what yours is doing now. Try washing the coil first, and turn it on. If it continues to short cycle, you will have to get it charged. If its 10 or more years old, it will take the R-22 freon. If newer, it may be the 410-A. Either way you cant buy it. I hope I have been of help to you. Please let me know.
Sincerely,

We have a Honeywell RTH230B programmable thermostat installed on a rudd a/c system. Everything works fine except the a/c unit cycles on and off about every 5 minutes.

Probably cycling on low or high pressure switch. You may be low on refrigerant, dirty filter or indoor coil, causing low pressure switch to open or the outdoor coil is dirty or outdoor fan not running at the proper speed causing the high pressure switch to open.

A/c low pressure quick disconnect location? 1999 ford expedition

on the tube between the firewall and the a/c compressor. On some Fords the low pressure port is on the dryer2_bing.gif (aluminium cylinder). Good news is the low pressure and high pressure port are different sizes. You cannot mess it up.

Remember the flow for the a/c system is :
1. From the compressor a high pressure (HP) gas goes to the condenser in front of the radiator.
2. From the condenser a HP2_bing.gif liquid goes to an expansion device (orifice tube or expansion valve)
3. From expansion device the low pressure gas enters the firewall to the evaporator.
4. From evaporator the low pressure liquid/gas mixture goes through the dryer back to the compressor suction

I have a rudd hot air gas furnace, ignitor sparks

to carmelmontgo; do you have a smart gas valve sometimes the wire connections get loose. remove wire connector then reinstall. also cleaning a flame sensor will work if the flame sensor is good. I would check the ground connection sometimes contaminated with rust. also I would check the gas pressure with a gas manometer...my email is alpharomeo@windstream.net

Looking for low pressure port for servicing Freon in A/C system for 1998 Chevrolet Suburban. There are 2 ports on top of compressor. Which is the low side and which is the high side?

The ports on my 2005 silverado are on the same line, which is very confusing but, in between the two ports is the metering device (orifice) which changes the high pressure gas into a low pressure gas.The two ports are of a different size, with the low pressure being the smaller of the two. You can put your hand on the line, on each side of the metering device connection and the high side will be hot and the low side will be cold
