I have Toshiba Satellite A50 with Windows XP.

go to safe mode go to admin
type admin as a password. hope this helps

maybe something with your keyboard.

Hi,
If you have noticed that the keyboard is not responding to certain keys, get a USB keyboard, plug it into the laptop and start the laptop up from a cold start, it should recognize the USB keyboard and let you type in your password (you may have to wait a minute or two for windows to install the drivers).
If it lets you in to the operating system open a txt document and use your laptop keyboard to test the keys and make sure they are working.
