This is a prebuilt Dell, purchased in 2004; I think the model number (at least the number on the back) is C90MS51

Three beeps mean three times LED blinks and goes off as soon as we turn on Notebook.
This is the issue with Memory Module.
Either Memory module is not sitting correctly or Memory module is faulty.
Use the Link and Reseat the Mmeory module if you have another Notebook swap the Mmeory Module or Prchase New Memory Module.

Your computers motherboard is giving you an audible signal to identify an error it has encountered. Each manufacturer uses different signals to represent different issues. If you have the manual for the computer, the troubleshooting section should explain what the issue is. If you don't have the manual and still have a warranty, contact the support number for your computer. If you are not able to do that then please supply me with the manufacturers name and the model number of the computer if it was pre built, or the motherboards manufacturer and model number if you built the computer yourself.

Unfortunately Dell has chosen not to share their service codes with the general population. If that number is your service tag you can call their support number and tell them about the beep codes. They will then inform you of their meaning and what you need to do to resolve the issue. You do mention the computer doesn't always beep. If you back up your most important information you may be able to keep using your machine until it stops working.

I have rebuilt this computer several times. from the ground up. now I get 3 long persistant beeps. according the computer home .com is a video problem? is this true? Thank, Jack

PC generates three long beeps (1 Second Cycle three times then 2.5 Secondds Pause) when there is Memory (RAM) Error. Try inserting DIMMs again. Make sure that the timings (Clock Speed) of DIMMs are compatible (matches) with your motherboard.

How can i fix my IBM ThinkPad T22 2647. it produce 3 simultaniuos beep sounds lcd is black out.

This is a list of ThinkPad Beep codes.
It appears you have a memory or motherboard problem, most likely a RAM problem. Try reseating the RAM modules, if this doesn't work, then remove the RAM and take them to your friendly computer repair shop to get them to test the RAM modules for you. If the RAM is faulty them replace.

How will you absorved no display

I have looked at a PDF of your manual, but it did not give the BIOS (Basic Input Output) type. I did see a screen shot referencing Phoenix-Award BIOS, so I will give you the video adaptor error for both BIOS manufactures.
Award - You will hear one long beep and two short beeps from the speaker, which is a video adaptor error.
Phoenix - You will hear three beeps pause, four beeps pause and one beep from the speaker, which is a video adaptor error.
If you hear no beeps at all or another sequence of beeps from your speaker it could be another problem.
You can install a PCI Express video card in your computers PCI Express slot to test your on-board video.

Computer won't come on-it gives one short beep. it flashes some computer language - briefly - three different times and then screen goes black but does not shut off. how do I fix this?

One "beep" is good -- multiple beeps mean something is wrong.

Restart your computer, and be ready to press the PAUSE button on your keyboard, to "freeze" that text on the screen, so that you can read it.

Computer problem

during these beeps there should be pause between them at some point...in other words you may get 2 beeps/pause/1beep/pause/2 beeps noting the number of beeps and where the pauses are will help. From what you are describing and without more info it sounds as if you are describing beep codes, and they generally can give us a lot of information.

Lots of water in bottom of refrigerator

Every ten to twelve hours or more irregular intervals if equipped with an adaptive defrost control your refrigerator activates a heating element around the evaporator to defrost the accumulation of frost that develops on the evaporator. Behind the back panel there is an evaporator pan it has a rubber grommet with a hole in it this is your defrost drain hose it is clogged. Unplug or switch refrigerator off at breaker panel, remove panel covering evaporator area (rear panel in freezer), use a hair dryer or hot water to unclog defrost drain a turkey baster works well to make sure the hose is unclogged.
the water that drains down this hose accumulates in the defrost drain pan in the base of the refrigerator under normal operation the heat from the refrigeration system evaporates this water. The drain pan has a limited capacity so do not poor more than 20-25oz of hot water down the hose after you unclog it. If you poor to much it wont hurt anything just make a mess youll have to clean up.
