Just call and explain your situation to the court...if you ignore a summons, you can be fined...not sure if baby sitting can get you off jury duty??

Since jury service in the USA is usually for county court juries or for Federal district court juries and since I have no idea what your jury service (county or Federal district) summons was for, you will need to contact either your county court office or the office of the Federal district court where you reside to find out your status as to whether you are exempt from jury duty or not.

Go to your county court house and talk to the court clerk. My hearing is no good, they let me off jury duty because of it.
