Sounds like the dual-stage capacitor is going bad,one side is marked f for fan and other is marker herm for compressor, make sure to get the same mfd on both or very close at the same or higher voltage i e (440) dont use a 370 volt capacitor

I'm trying to separate the front from the back. I've taken out the 5 screws, but I can't get it open

Check and see if this fan was made in (what to people in the U.S.A. would be) a foreign country, such as China, Mexico, etc.
If so, the unit may not be repairable or even talk-a-part-able.
To cause them to be made more cheaply, they are often assembled in such a manner as to cause them to break if you take them apart.
An option will be for you to see if you were to actually cut it apart, could you then fasten it back together somehow?
God bless our efforts.

Have a Magic chef MCWC50DST that the compressor and fan wont start. I thought it was the ptc starter which I replaced and that didn't fix it. The circuit board and controller are getting power as the light...

are u saying u replaced the start relay? and capacitor? I would check the cold control thermostat as if its defective u will get no fan no compressor etc. u can also check the compressor itself by removing the relay and capacitor then using a multi meter to measure the run and start windings for ohms, measure separately then together and the reading u get when together should equal the readings of both separate measurements? give or take 5 percent. u test by connecting the multimeter prongs to the nutual and the run and the nutrul ( center prong) and the start prongs

Having problems with my bryant 601a package unit blower is working and moving air but not cold my unit fan is turning off and on but not sure the compresser is working i replaced the capacitor any other...

I would check to make sure the compressor is in fact working (people sometimes mistake the condenser fan being on for the compressor, which makes an almost dieseling sound). The indoor fan is a separate circuit from the compressor.

I got a Targus PA248U Notebook Chill Pad, the part inside where I plug the cable in is messed up I think and it won't power on. How do I open it up to have a look to see if I can fix it?

I opened the case and hard wired the power cord directly to the wires of the fans. There are 4 philips-head screws at the four top corners under the rubber adhesive pads. Separate the top from the bottom. Two wires come from each of the fans. Cut and twist the two positive wires together and the two negative wires together. Cut the end off the power cord that is NOT the USB end and strip the wire insulation back. You will find a white insulated wire surrounded by another wire. Twist the ends of each separately making sure they are separated by the white insulation. Remove the circuit board using the tiny screws where the switch is and put the power cord end through the switch hole. Tie a knot in the cord to prevent cord from pulling out. Make sure the USB end can reach a USB port on your computer. Carefully test which wires to twist together by touching each to see if the fans turn. One way will work and other way won't. When sure of correct wires, you can solder them together and insulate properly with small wire nuts or electrical tape. Reassemble case with screws and plug in USB cord end when you want the fans to cool your notebook computer. I hope that this helps.

Freezer cuts on every 3-4 minutes. stays on 8-10 seconds. some thawing occuring

If I understand you correctly the compressor is short cycling. The more it does this the worse it gets by causing the compressor to overheat. Sometimes the problem is because the condenser fan or evaporator fan being defective. Pull away from wall and remove cover over compressor unplug and feel top of compressor and if too hot to keep hand there keep unplugged but do examine the evaporator and condenser fan to eliminate them as a reason. The most likely reason is start relay and or start/run capacitor and sometimes a worn out compressor.

Run capacitor click here=> 65889-4

Parts in that photo are marked as 10 overload/relay, 11 is the run capacitor and 3 being condenser fan motor. Condenser and evaporator fan motors do not always stop completely when bad so make sure both run while compressor is running. Our *** (whirlpool Mod # GC5SHEXNS00) gets very hot between the doors. We keep it clean underneath. I took the small back panel off and found that the fan is not working. I can probably replace the fan but...

Hi!!

If the condenser fan is not working, check to see if it is getting 110V when the compressor is woriking (they always work together), If the fan has power, then is damaged. Without the fan, the compressor will overheat and the thermal proteccion device will cut it off to prevent damage to it.

What is happening, is that the compressor kicks in, runs for about 10 min. overheats and quits. It will help if you set a fan in the back of the unit until you replace the damaged one.

I suggest to take the old fan to a hardware store or an autorized service station to make sure you are getting the same type/size fan.

Triple rocker switch to control 3 function bathroom fan/light

I suggest you cut 3 pigtails out of your black wire (about 5-6" each and strip them so you can put a nut to tie them all together on the main wire, then do the same for your grounds using green 5-6" strips of wire and then connect all 3 switches with the pigtails to their proper locations. This WILL fix your problem.
