Slide out keyboard not working on HTC Touch Pro

Keyboard rarely works on HTC Touch pro, will work occasionally, but usually just does not function. Sometimes corrects if you remove battery for a minute or so and then start again, getting progressively worse

Take the battery out of the TP and then press down very hard on the spacebar. This will reconnect the flex cable and will fix it for the time being. But in the end a replacement will be needed.

I had the same problem when i had my touch pro and the spacebar fix stops working after a while but just take your phone into your local sprint store and they will give you a free upgrade because sprint is no longer switching costumers into the touch pro anymore because of issues with the keyboard. They give you options of phones to choose from (Touch Pro 2, Palm Pre, or a blackberry) i got the touch pro 2 and there is a big difference from the touch pro. Although I've only had the phone a week no problems yet.

This appears to be a common issue. I had the same issue with mine. I used the self service tool on Sprint's website and a new (more than likely reconditioned) phone is on its way to me. I believe it has to be a glitch or short with the phone. I've also gone through and opened and closed the phone repeatedly with no fix. A replacement may be the best solution for this.

Solution 3 works!!! About people saying that they took the phone to a sprint store. Did you have to pay anything to switch to the new model? What do they ask for?

My slide-out keyboard on my HTC-pro doesn not work.

That happen to me with my 1st phone. Reset the phone from the little reset button and if that doesnt work then take it to your companys store and they should replace it for free because that means the phone is defected, as I call it.

Keyboard doesn't work

My keyboard went out twice already, I took it to my phone company and they traded it in both times at no cost to me. They just told me that has been happening alot with this phone. I would recommend just going to your service provider.

HTC TOUCH PRO---the slide out keyboard is not working, also phone has charging issues.

If purchased through a carrier, you'd need to return it to that carrier.  If purchased directly from HTC, go to the HTC website to seek manufacturer defect repair under warranty.
