Check head gasket for leaks. Also check that valves are operational and spring and tappets are in place.
Some tanks have a blowby valve that will blow open when tank builds excessive pressure

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To find where the leak is coming from, you will have to remove the cover. If the leak is just from an external fitting then you can see the problem and a simple adjustment or removal to re seal can be done however, if the leak appears to be from the pump head joint then the head will have to be removed and a replacement gasket fitted however it is recommended that if this is done then a new valve set be fitted at the same time. Also check the Pressure switch and Valve as it may be dirty or faulty. You need to Clean, repair or replace Pressure switch/Valve. The noise that you hear could also be due to loose flywheel or pulley, try to tighten it as required.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

2000 crv honda just got a new timing belt and water pump after a couple of days now it make a noise (loud clicking noise) when I start it up

The noise you describe may be due to hydraulic tappet leak back form a oil that is of the incorrect viscosity or a cheap oil filter that doe's not have an anti leak back valve in it .The noise is until the oil pressure builds up and makes the hydraulic tappets work properly.

I have a C2006 Type 4 Porter Cable pancake compressor which will build pressure all the way up to 150psi then cut off as it should but there will be a loud hissing and pressure drop until the cut on...

first you have a reciprocating pump and the hissing you ear probably comes from the unloading valve on the pressure switch(it will look like a bike tire valve)if there is air coming out the valve when the compressor is off it probably means you have a bad check valve. This valve is use to unload the pressure inside the pump for an easy start .a motor always drive more amps on start up if you cant unload this pressure you will trip the overload(you probably have a reset button on your motor)check the specs on your pressure relief valve ,its a small pump maybe its just adjusted to high.in this case your pressure relief valve will open .If the pressure is fine and there is air coming out the relief valve then you have to replace it!to adjust your pressure turn the screw on your pressure switch clockwise to increase and counterclockwise to decrease .usually you have a 30 psi between cut-in and cut-off called the pressure differential. It can be adjusted on some pressure switch.be sure you put some teflon tape on the treads if you replace something to avoid air leaks.hopes this help!

Ok....My compressor knowledge and terms of parts is very weak...So I will try my best to describe my problem....When I bought the Campbell 8 gallon compressor, and when I started to use it, in the...

The compressor will fill slowly if there is a leak at a fitting or pressure leaking back from the checkvalve. It will also fill slowly if there is a worn / broken reed valve/s and or leaking gasket in the head. Try easy test first. With compressor running and air filter off, spray soapy water on all joints looking for leak (also spray on head of pump to check leaking bolts /gaskets). If leaking, repair as needed. If no leaks are found with soapy water, stop compressor and listen for leak at the pressure switch unloader valve. If no air appears to be leaking from the compressor then most likely problem is with reed valves or gasket in the head. Remove head very carefully trying not to tear gaskets. Examine reed valves for broken parts and or burned /broken gaskets. If gaskets or reed valves are bad, the discharge air tube will be very hot. Repair as needed. Good luck

I have ingersoll t-30 runs fine but when stops running i have air leak coming out on the side of the pressure switch it does not stop leaking air but when it runs is not leaking please help

replace your tank check valve..the noise you are hearing is coming from a bleeder valve that's bleeding air pressure from the head so when it starts its not starting up against pressure
